It’s funny watching opposing team hit a few really tough shots early and hang in there thinking they have a shot. Those tough shots stop falling and they have nothing
Temple playing them very tough. Been close the whole game. Doubt they have the horses to finish them off, though
unfortunately purdue's 3 point home win over 12-7 maryland is just too impressive for us to jump them.
I can’t wait til they get in the tourney with some non B1G refs and Edey gets 2 fouls in 40 seconds of play. He is protected as much as Greg Oden was at OSU and I thought I’d never say that.
Yeah, my list is probably: 1) Schumann 2) Leonhard 3) Pruitt but the good thing about Pruitt is this could easily be the last stop for him. Sounds like he would be pretty content finishing out his career as Bama DC. Now who knows what the next HC after Saban will do, but if Pruitt has the opportunity, I think he will stay forever. Big time gump.
Give me Pruitt. I know what he looks like as Bama DC. We'd prohlbabky be fine with the other 2 as well but I know what Pruitt and Saban produce together so give me that. And not having to looking for another DC in 2-3 years would be nice. Let him be our Bud Foster.
I think Schuman is my #1 but I'd have Pruitt #2. There is some risk with Leonhard - never been in this league or region, never been at Alabama, etc. I'd be thrilled with him, but if I'm picking between 3 elite defensive minds give me a guy who grew up in the Saban/Kirby fire.
I’ll take Pruitt all day every day. Elite recruiter. Is extremely aggressive and is willing to give up big plays to go after negative plays and turnovers. That to me is the way to have success on defense in this age of offense. He’s a total meathead, and I hate listening to him talk, but his guys love him, and he knows how to coach defense. He’s been my #2 the whole time.
I agree with this completely. I think they’re all probably can’t miss options, BUT the only one that to me has any real risk of not working out is Leonhard. Plus, I think Leonhard makes it at most 2 years here. Any real level of success and he’s a high level HC somewhere.
This is worse hyperbole than TWatts . Just because Saban hasn’t named someone doesnt mean he’s not looking for a DC? Well no shit! I thought he was just doing nothing and waiting for the situation to spontaneously resolve itself.
So everything seems to point towards Pruitt now? I wonder if that means Leonhard and/or Schumann said no or if we targeted Pruitt first.
DDB has been hinting at Leonhard for weeks now. But all the fake insiders on Twitter have been saying Pruitt. I don't think anyone has any idea. I would be fine with any of the three. And if somehow we whiff on Schumann and Leonhard, then Pruitt somehow gets banned again (I think this is highly unlikely) then just give the job to Armstrong and let's roll. I would rather have him than Charlie Strong or Grantham.
Leonhard hasn't had a job for a couple of months now. If it was going to be him, I struggle to see why he wouldn't already be hired. I struggle to see Schumann coming here. So Pruitt sounds like best possible solution to me.
I am trying to manifest in my mind the possibility of Demeco replacing Saban and it's hard to come up with a logical path.
In conference play Miller is averaging 21 and 8 on 54.4% shooting and 49% from 3 Only guys really struggling in conference so far are Bradley, who is at 37% shooting and Welch who is at 11%
Bradley isn't getting to the rim as easy as he was earlier on. Sometimes he tries to force it a little too much and will either get blocked or get a charge. He is still the best facilitator of the offense we have, imo.
