Not sure how you can give Philly the benefit of the six men on the ice given the scoring chance there, even though the official screwed up with the arm raise.
Refs messed that up. It’s still on Philly to watch the ref, no different than a linesman waiving off an icing
https://twitter.com/RyanHanaWWP/status/1869795044820935160 I legitimately have no idea what could even happen here. Maybe we trade them Lyon? Nothing else makes sense, but then again Kevyn Adams is pretty dumb.
Something I am wondering about would be: Kasper, Rasmussen, Lyon, Buium, & a protected 1st for Bryam and Peterka I don’t think Buffalo does that deal, but the logic is Byram has injury issues and is will be done with team control soon. Peterka is good but Buffalo has a lot of similar profile players. In exchange they get a guy in Kasper that can play in their top nine with room to grow, a guy in Rasmussen that scouts love (and a player type Buffalo could use with Greenway out), a goalie to help out this season as Levi works through issues in the AHL, a D prospect with some upside and a first. That’s not a horrible haul imo. Detroit could then theoretically have a core of: DeBrincat - Larkin - Raymond ??? - Danielson - Peterka Buchelnikov - ??? - MBN Byram - Seider Edvinsson - ASP Cossa Still need to add another dynamic player to the top six but that looks infinitely better going forward. Also feels like a massive pipe dream.
My four year old son is currently crying because "they keep getting goals" and "i don't want to watch this anymore". Fire Lalonde now
Realistically Lalonde being fired won’t change anything Yzerman needs to make a move to prove to everyone he’s actually alive.
Chiarot might be out for a while — no updates either way. While that’s not bad news I truly have no idea who plays with Seider with Edvinsson also out. It’ll be Gustafsson, Johansson or Legesson. I mean Jesus Christ.
Every time I see this thread bumped during a non game day and it isn't an update that lalonde was fired makes me sad
This has the makings of a game that gets your coach fired. Just not sure it happens until after Christmas.
There have been plenty of games like this they didnt pull the trigger on. I can't tell if Yzerman is too loyal or Illitch is too cheap to pay for another coach or both
This is about as close to rock bottom as you’ll get. Lost count of what year of the rebuild it is. Only step forward is to force Yzerman and all his buddies out.
Saw some stat online where only 5 of our draft picks from 2019-2021 have played in NHL out of 31 total picks. 1 of 9 from 2022 class have made it to league. All those picks he stockpiled have failed miserably. Worst amateur scouting staff in league.
Team is reminding me of the lions during 90s and 00s. Hitting on some big time 1st rd picks, but missing heavily later in draft and not doing the right things surrounding those guys in FA. Although I guess that's slightly unfair because the Lions also fucked up plenty of 1st rd picks too
