Well there was a point where he showed enough to be called up. He came up and showed he isn’t an NHL player. Mazur will likely be the same situation but the issue is we have a few guys that aren’t NHL players taking up roster spots. Better to see what the unknown brings to the table at this point.
It’s fine if it’s another asset to add to a larger trade but at this point Yzerman seems content to just use the good will from being #19 to continue to wait for shit to fall into his lap.
It’d be disingenuous to say I expect nothing from Yzerman in the 22 or so hours but I just have no idea where his mind is at right now. He clearly expects a lot from this group so even with the losing streak I think he will be aggressive. What that means though, I don’t know. If I had to guess, he is going to do something medium big. Like trading for Jared McCann potentially (yes please). I just don’t want to deal with guys like Mario Ferraro or Ristolinen, yet a move for either wouldn’t stun me. I just really hope we don’t trade for more bottom six players, unless it’s in a deal where Holl or Tarasenko are going the other way.
Huh, the narrative that he’s too small to play the gritty physical game that he wants to, turns out to be true?
You know how you stop all that chickenshit stuff after the whistle? You give Sergachev a penalty for the crosscheck, a penalty for the first punch, and a penalty for the second punch.
Only silver lining to Yzerman era is he seems to hit really well on his 1st rd picks. But man this is frustrating as hell to see this team collapse again and no moves being made to counteract it
Now the new coach bump has worn off, Yzerman has no one to hide behind anymore for the makeup of this shit ass team. The Walman trade today pours more salt on the wound.
