    see that's what I was told for ME, so I played ME2 first. Then after playing ME1, I wished I had done it in the proper order.

    I would because the story and characters are fucking amazing, gameplay is quite meh, possibly shitty


    difference here is although your choices from DA:O transfer to DA2, its a different character than in DA:O.

    The really cool thing is that DA2 takes place over 10 years, the first year of the game takes place during the time year DA:O took place in so the choices you make in DA:O will play a part in what happens during the early parts of DA2.


    For example, Isabella one of the possible squad mates in 2 is someone you can meet and have a one night stand with in DA:O, its a minor thing but still cool that it will possibly open new dialogue.

    I went and played ME1 for the first time about a week before ME2 came out. I might be weird but after a year or two a game starts to feel really outdated and I just can't enjoy them as much as I do a really good new release. This is why I won't be going back and playing Oblivion even though I'm pretty confident that it was an excellent game.

    The story and appearance of previous characters is what you might miss out on but bioware is pretty thorough with the codex entries. I can't think of anything in ME1 that I couldn't learn about if I read the ME2 codexes or from the wiki of the game.

    Going underground with dwarves was my favorite part about DA1 but I'm sure we'll be going back in DA2 and it'll be even more impressive.

    nah i ordered it on amazon so i could get all the extra DLC for free, i will get it wednesday


    also a friend of mine who isnt interested in the game claims that he read from someone who got the game early that
    zevran and leliana
    are back but he wouldnt tell me what role they play.

    I just finished the story at level 18. Got the DLC last night but DA2 is going to be here today so I won't touch Origins for a while.
