Heard there’s only 6 episodes in the season… wat? At this pace they’d need 4 seasons to tell any kind of story

 

Did they mention what happened Harrow Harkonnen’s father in the show, thought it was gonna be Tula’s but seems to be another brother

This was my thought as well when I saw it.

 

This would have been really dumb

 

Seems super hard to believe she wouldn’t know who he is when she was face to face with him multiple times.

The Sister Theodosia-Griffin Harkonnen transformation scene introduces us to the Face Dancers. She is apparently one of the very first. In this episode we were introduced to the Ixians too. Therefore I don’t think Desmond Hart is a Thinking Machine. I think he is a gola created by the Bene Tleilaxu. I guess this serves as our introduction to the Bene Tleilaxu. The complexity of the Dune universe is happening much faster than I thought it would. I certainly didn’t expect a Face Dancer in this season.

edit-I posted that after watching E4 tonight. Am now watching E5. Depending on how it goes I might revise the spoiler.

edit 2- Not changing anything. I came out of E5 with a regret that in all these years I was unaware of the Bollywood actress Tabu.

 

Well holy crap a lot of shit went down. Hadn’t been paying attention but assume it’s already been re-upped for season 2?

 

I watched all 6 episodes, and I’m so confused

 

Show needed to be 8 episodes imo. Way too many things happened in the final episode.

This ending is a bit much

 

It’s true to the books in that way.

It’s possible he was killed by a worm but not eaten. The Bene Tleilaxu then somehow obtained his body and converted him into a gola.

 

Dug his body out of worm poopie IMO

 

Are they showing the emperors soldiers being so bad on purpose to show why the future generation emperors used the Sadukar? At least 40 of these guys have gotten diced and I don’t think they’ve even injured anyone else

Tula is a savage

 

I’m catching up/starting. These first few episodes seem really slow and boring. Is there a payoff by the end of the season ?

 

finally finished. it's fine. first two episodes were the worst and it improved yet didn't really have the payoff I was hoping for.

 

I had to travel for work this week so I watched it on the flights. I started over and it was fine. There is so much dialogue it can just feel a bit slow at points.
