Idk, but they always seem to find loopholes to kick that can down the road. There’s really just no excuse for drafting a TE (or WR) in the top 5. None.
Yea his style of play now requires a good OL and solid execution and we just don't have it. This year will be ugly and we deserve it
Yeah thanks a lot shit coaching and sloppy play. And fuck 92.9 for trying to talk up the positives of an opening drive field goal and not much else.
Yea and I’m pretty sure that’s what the new GM did when he got here with Ryan. He kicked the can down the road.
This. We owe Ryan $23 mil this year and it doubles next year unless we restructure it again. Or we cut Ryan after June 1st (?) and we are out $23 mil next year.
I’d rather have pick Pitts than wasted the pick on a QB. Any and every QB in that draft would be completely ruined mentally and physically after a year playing behind this historically embarrassing OL. Could have traded back for more picks, but blaming Fontenot for the dumpster fire he was handed is dumb.
Who said Fields would play this year? I’m not blaming Fontenot either. I’m just saying Pitts was a wasted pick, and I said that on draft night too.
I think the reality is GM knew we were stuck with Ryan. Take the best player available, team tanks for 1-2 seasons, hope you land your franchise qb in one of those drafts.
if it makes you guys feel any better I expect the Eagles DL to be elite this year. 2 deep across the board with good to great players. did not expect the game to be that lopsided but I think the Eagles holding the Falcons to FGs in the first half shaped the game.
I appreciate The Falcons letting me know right out of the gate not to invest time in them. Very considerate.
My 6 yo was hyped for the start of the season. When Philly scored that 4th quarter TD, he said “I’m not watching if the Falcons are gonna lose all their games again.” Poor kid has a lot to learn.
Just watching other games and I honestly don't know why I expected anything different. We do not have the talent other teams have really anywhere.
Its not even just the first rounders either. On a team like this we should get starters in the 2nd and 3rd. Richie Grant isnt even playing and Mayfield is the worst OL in the NFL. I could honestly get behind the Pitts pick if we would've hit on those spots like we should've
I mean do we have the worst roster in the league right now? I know it's a bit sky is falling after one game, but even the Texans/Lions seem to have more pieces...
fully expected this when we hired a fuckboy coach whose dad lusts to be an NFL owner...congrats for scoring points with Derrick Henry. and idk wtf they were thinking drafting a TE/WR that high. With a QB staring them in the face. Arthur Blank sorta deserves the losing at this point. He's allowed Rich McKay, another nepotism fuckboy, to continue failing upwards. Even the Uniforms are garbage.
I was all for taking Pitts before I knew Julio was already out of the building. We just replaced a generational talent with a rookie tight end and if he is anything less than a hall of famer he will be deemed a disappointment.
If this is all the same at the end of the year I 100% agree with you. But we've had one NFL game, hard to judge rookies so harshly for me
If I'm in Vegas, I'm taking the largest live spread offered on the Bucs. -35 not out of the question today
