I enjoyed the ending where they acknowledged that "getting married and settling down CLEARLY was not in character with Jo's whole arc so we're only doing it for publishing purposes"
Sunday I finally get to see Didi, so excited. Still pissed I missed my shot at seeing Sing Sing early. and then its onto Trap, I’ll probably enjoy it but I’m also walking into it knowing its a M Night movie so something stupid will happen and then my AMC is showing OG Beetlejuice again for one night so that will be a good refresher for the sequel/reboot
Directed by Akiva Schaffer, so it's destined to bomb incredibly hard at the box office and then within two years be regarded as a modern comedy classic.
Trap 2.5 / 10 Really bad. Low budget look, open casting extras you kept noticing, so campy I wasn’t sure if it was some attempt at being meta, but I think it’s just bad. Man, that was bad. M Night can’t keep getting away with this.
Anyone seen the Skywalking movie? Skywalkers: A Love Story Directed by Jeff Zimbalist 2024 1hr 40min R Documentary,Romance,
TRAP Spoiler WAS AWFUL OH MY SWEET CHRIST Terrible acting. Moronic dialogue. Story made no sense. No twist. Hartnett’s character made a million dumb decisions. All expository dialogue. Hartnett gets out of a bunch of sticky situations but they never showed you how. Looked bad. Old lady fbi agent made no fucking sense. Police rehashed all their prep over the radio. The concert looked awful. m. Night’s daughter cannot act. She was so bad. The teenage girl was so stiff and oddly okay with missing half the concert. why was lady raven able to just chit chat with the main FBI agent? but then she had no secruity detail? oh man that sucked ass
Spoiler: Totally agree I could add more to this—and maybe I will tomorrow—but too frustrated by that movie to give it much more thought now. When we got out I checked rotten tomatoes and the initial reviews were decent (and currently at 50%, 68%), so I was wondering for a moment if I missed something but then was like—no—that was really bad and you need to let anyone know that it was that bad so that they save money since most of my friends don’t have unlimited accounts. Like some movies are so bad they’re kinda good and you can let your friends know this in case they still may want to see it. But this was just so bad that it was frustrating to sit through, and even more disappointing because it’s really the only new release this weekend.
This is so incredibly stupid. It’s a transparent attempt to capitalize on the Snyder cut bullshit because he’s not fighting with a studio over his Star Wars knockoff, if he wanted to release this cut on Netflix he could have
yeah i think by his own admission both releseases are his own cut. blatant publicity grab plus cash grab too, if there is a physical release or theatrical component.
Is it really a cash grab if it's streaming? Only people watching anything Snyder at this point are brainlet nerds
