don't know if its industry wide but I asked the local manager (Cinemark) and she said she finalizes showings on Tuesdays nights for the following theaterical week (e.g. Thu). She said its posted by very late Tuesday PM or Wed early AM>
I know I always say this but Tom Wilkinson is so goddamn perfect in this and in any other year he easily wins best supporting actor.
Michael, I have great affection for you and you lead a very rich and interesting life but you’re a bagman not an attorney
babygirl… not a particularly good film did get a kick out of them not playing the amc commercial beforehand though
probably in the minority but didn't really care for A Real Pain thought Culkin's character was terribly annoying, and I get that's the point of the character but it's still irritating to watch
But there are only two amongst that list that are particularly noteworthy Edit: Was curious what I was missing with the Toy Story pic. Going to the tweet provides a lot more.
Just saw a preview for The Unbreakable Boy while waiting for Sonic 3. Have a feeling that every theater showing it will be pretty dusty.
almost comforting to know that the worst of all genres doesnt magically get better when the film is about an artist you love
they edited the word ass out of the trailer for that I suppose as to not offend the blue hairs that come out for movies once a year around the holidays
It has grown on me since I watched it. Didn't expect to still be thinking about or to listen to Dylan for a week.
Finally saw Furiosa and thought it was pretty solid to good, 8/10. Not close to Fury Road but some great action set pieces and Hemsworth did a great job. Some massive plot holes and the really shitty CGI on parts pulled it down imo.
My parents went and watched A Complete Unknown, honestly might be the first movie theyve seen in theater this millennium.
Hard Eight’s a great movie in its own right but I like how you can pick up some of PTA’s little idiosyncrasies that he hasn’t fully fleshed out yet. Not the best example but like him using the same score he later used in Boogie Nights when Wahlberg is jerking it in that guys truck.
Criterion channel collection of Cameron Crowe movies so I'm watching Almost Famous again. Amazing movie
So, I finally watched Smile today. A Frankenstein’s monster of other horror movies. A dash of The Ring, a sprinkle of It Follows, and just basically steal the climax from Fallen. It’s competently made, but wholly unoriginal.
I ended up walking out of Smile because I felt like it was breaking the rules of horror movies by basically adding new powers at random throughout the movie after the "setting the stakes" stage.
