I thought it was good, not great-- it's a warm holiday movie. The three leads definitely carry it since the plot is cliche. Expected it to be funnier, but my theater was packed and not really laughing much so that might of hurt it on that front.
Really enjoyed it. Not anything new, what you see in the trailer is more or less what you get but it’s pretty funny and very well acted. I’d put it 3rd below sideways and the descendants and above election in my Alexander Payne rankings.
Yeah it’s a story that’s been done over and over again but it was original in the way it was presented. Also loved the music and how it went in and out with is POV
Just hit torrance. I am all over this, fake southern accents and all. lol Golden Globe® nominee Aaron Eckhart (The Dark Knight) stars as a desperate, bare-knuckle cage fighter battling for the only thing he has left in Rumble Through The Dark, a riveting action thriller based on Michael Farris Smith’s celebrated novel The Fighter. Bella Thorne (The DUFF) shines alongside Eckhart in this gripping film about one man’s last-ditch effort to save his family home against the strongest of foes and the longest of odds.
The Holdovers is wonderful. That's a heartbreakingly sweet gem of a movie. I don't think they knew how to wholly sell it because it's not quite the comedy the trailer tries to portray, but it's got so much soul and substance. Evoked many of the same feelings and emotions the Fabelmans did for me. Probably not room for Giamatti in Best Actor but he's deserving of a nom. Joy Randolph seems like a lock to get a Best Supporting Actress nod.
I think I'm gonna watch Dark City or Sunshine tonight. Something really dark, as in lighting. Both movies are beautiful on a good TV.
Blow Out is all time. Snake Eyes decades later still has flaws but is so fun and De Palma is in his bag having a blast
thought The Creator was just ok dialogue was very very bad and the plot isn’t anything new. It does look incredible though
I also recently watched Dicks The Musical and I thought it was awful. It just wasn’t funny. Although I have been singing “God is a f****t and Love is Love” ever since
that’s an amazing story either way and I chose to believe Robo wants an Oreo simply because they are delicious
The killer absolutely ripped. Loved it and watched it again tonight on Netflix after my theater experience. That fight scene is awesome.
The original trailer for this made it look like dogshit but this actually kinda looks like stupid fun. I admit that I’ve got a Chad Radwell bias.
they evidently reshot some stuff weeks ago and prolly revamped the trailer after the first one leaked and looked like garbage
Well it worked because the first one looked like a sexless bore whereas this one’s got Sydney Sweeney digging a spider out of Glen Powell’s asscrack. That’s my kind of comedy!
Wife wanted to see What Happens Later (Meg Ryan / David Duchovny) for her bday. it was pretty bad, we left after an hour (her call, I was being the good soldier) - they tried to cram so much stuff into their relationship from years ago it was really unrealistic. Writing was sappy and very clunky. Gave it every chance to get better. However, saw 2 trailers that looked good, Argyle by the director of The Kingsman, and the rowing movie by George Clooney, The Boys in the Boats, or something similar ...
I watched Knock at the Cabin on my flight today, and it was disappointing. Didn’t expect much to start with, but I assumed it would at least have something intriguing at the end like other M. Night movies. Dave Bautista was definitely the bright spot though.
