Lmbo dude took the hardest of L’s then doubles down by tagging Ben Shapiro and a bunch of other chuds and news outlets.
Anyone watched the show el presidente on Amazon prime? It’s dubbed into English. Show about the conmebol and fifa scandals from 2014-2016 primarily with the South American countries federation presidents as the main people. A lot of the names and story is true but some dramatization for TV purposes. I’m 3 episodes in and it’s very good so far.
How are refs assigned in English matches? I always assumed they work their way up to the PL and that there was a pretty small rotation (Dean, Oliver, Mariner, etc) who worked those matches, but I’m watching Derby-Sheffield Wednesday and Mike Dean is the referee
Couldn’t find anything in my 30 seconds of googling on how exactly they determine who officiates what games. Says there is a performance measure so I’m guessing that is used to determine who gets the most high profile matches. https://www.premierleague.com/referees/pgmol https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Select_Group
Venturing a complete guess but they probably need additional refs for the last match day since the matches are all at the same time?
10 league titles in 9 seasons is insane. Even if a few of those early league titles he played so little that he likely didn’t qualify as a champion under whatever metrics those countries use.
Yeah, I'm not gonna look it up, but you cannot really win 2 league titles the same year, as you cannot raise two cups at the same time. - but there is the technicality of qualifying via appearances in two leagues.
Great late afternoon KOs Rennes PSG with 1st place implications Juventus ACM with CL implications amongst a ~3 way tie for 3rd place RM Sevilla with 1st place implications, perhaps coming from 3rd into 1st with enough goals (unlikely)
The white knuckle end of the season in Ligue 1 and La Liga with underdogs holding on to slim leads is so much fun. Bundesliga should take note
There's a nice relegation battle going on in La Liga as well, 16-20 are all within 3 points of one another.
Yeah, really stupid to give him credit for 2016 Serie A when he left in August of 2015 after 1 league appearance
that’s not even close to the best pairing Sid, you fucking dolt, but a very nice addition for Spain all the same.
His writings on the cultural and historical part of the Spanish game are faaaaaaaaar better than his actual tactical analysis
Turkish title race is also crazy right now. As it stands Besiktas and Galatasaray level on points with one more game left (after the ones today that are almost finished).
Sporting CP go up 1-0 on Boavista. A win clinches their first title since 2002. Fans outside the stadium are setting off fireworks and honking horns so it sounds like the match is being played outside an active warzone.
Now Ajax is just taunting Spurs, you want our coach? Resigned him. Want a trophy? We just melt ours. Motherfuckers. but also this is so cool
Just a ridiculous list. France is so stacked going forward that other countries will stand to benefit by many of these players being eligible for their parents’ or grandparents’ countries.
