It is the things like this that Trump supporters fail to understand how badly they fucked over the world with their mental retardation and misogyny.
Well luckily most of the rest world realizes how dumb it is to think humans have no effect on climate. They're taking steps to combat CC. Meanwhile this administration is just gonna wind the clock back at least a decade in the US. China is planning to close Coal plants, Denkmark is powering their entire country on wind energy, and we're getting rid of subsidies and tax breaks for alternative energy and celebrating a new coal mine opening in PA.
Maybe the review will put the doubters to rest. If the science is so great it seem's that you would welcome a review of your work.
So when the review reveals it is something that is happening, you'd believe it 100% right? Completely reverse your stance?
Nah. There's nothing that could get you to change your mind, and a lot of the doubters are even dumber than you.
I don't dispute the climate changes for starters. But yes, if there was a fair panel from the start and they all concluded that "climate change" was a real problem that we could actually do something about then i would accept their findings.
Follow up question to this: if you accept that climate is changing, and we know the drivers of it, and we know the disastrous effects that will result from it, why not try to mitigate those effects, whether it is a result of human action or not?
If you knew that then i would be all for it. I question both of those things. Humans driving the change? Probably, but not certain. If they are, is that a bad thing? Is cutting carbon emissions the best way to combat the problem? Could we not find some way to geo-engineer a solution? Disastrous effects from it? Meh. They have been very wrong in the past. In fact, not really close to being right. They have falsified data to fit their agenda before. You have nobel prize winners saying that its "pseudo science." The 97% number is the definition of #fakenews. I'm sure climate scientist will welcome the scrutiny and chance to answer all of those concerns during this scientific review. Should be an easy task with science that is so certain and obvious.
Ignoring your "how do we know climate change is a bad thing" talking point, you realize that large scale geo-engineering, the kind this task requires, would be much more expensive than curtailing emissions, right? And would only mask a lot of the problems, rather than solve them? Lowering global temperatures through aerosol dispersal or orbital shades isn't going to fix ocean acidification and cognitive impairment and other effects that are a direct result of carbon dioxide concentrations.
I guess only time will tell. My guess is that some kind of engineering solution will used in conjunction with carbon emissions if deemed necessary. Technology advances fast and given 10-20 years we can figure something out.
Lordy me, I wish I could go through life as blissfully clueless and optimistic as you. Seems wonderful.
Let me guess, a fair panel to you is a scientific board full of republicans? Good luck finding one of those unicorns these days.
Guys, convincing dullards is a waste of time. We know how the adoption of ideas works, really really well. They're intellectual laggards for a variety of reasons. Just keep working against the gatekeepers, not the simps.
I'd be interested to read more about this, tried to find the full study but couldn't. Orbital decay is a fairly well-established principal of aerospace engineering, if it wasn't corrected for our satellite network couldn't function. I guess maybe the temperature sensors are on completely different satellites or totally decoupled from the postitioning systems??
Called my dad this morning and somehow this became a topic of conversation. Probably because I thought, "damn, that's a big iceberg." He had to lecture me on how global warming is a myth
NPR did a story on that this morning. According to scientists who study glaciers, they expected this and it is a fairly normal occurrence.
"May" Did you guys see where those scientist in Australia or wherever got caught erasing info because it didnt back the global warming.....errrrr....climate change theory?
gonna guess you didn't read the article which is so you buddy lol reading really is for nerds and virgins
Holy fuck, calling you retarded would still vastly overstate your intelligence level. You should really update your name to Bill the Retard.
Shut up, pussy. Every single one of these stories has "may" or "could" in their doomsday prediction. Put me on ignore or fist yourself.
If you don't wear your seat belt and get in a wreck, you may die. If you smoke cigarettes, you may get cancer. If you jump off that 12 foot roof, you could break your legs. If you breathe those fumes, you may get sick. If you charge that group of hajis, they could shoot and kill you.
isn't tmbrules the dude who didn't understand how tax brackets worked? sorry been mia for a few years :aero:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...big-problem/?tid=sm_tw&utm_term=.4cb3e1b5976c good news: solar is growing way faster than expected bad news: we didn't think it would and do not have grid capacity for its output
