Turns out he's actually from Dallas and went to the University of Texas. By the way, big fan of the John Bosworth character.
I had been behind most of the season but I'm finally caught up and really enjoying it. Last week was excellent, yesterday's was pretty good too. Only three episodes left already, interested to see where the season finishes up.
just got through s02e06 so I'm catching up, but this season has just been incredible and I loved season 1 (like most, the second half of it more than the first)
e07...caught up now. The scene with Cam's boy toy talking about his mom & the cupcake was just amazing.
Season 2 has been really, really good. Hope this show gets at least a couple more seasons. The girl that plays Cameron does a terrific job because she pisses me off so much.
Just binge watched this for no real reason over the last week to 10 days. Big fan and excited to see how they end S2.
One of the best seasons of TV in recent memory. They are juggling so many plots and subplots like gender roles and it all seems to work. I'm sad that it probably gets canceled.
finally caught up (had missed the last two weeks for various reasons). love it. how many episodes do we have left?
I think this is my favorite show currently on and I absolutely love Ray Donovan, show is so damn good.
I for a second thought Cameron loaded up a virus but then when it was an interface I thought it was just an emotional plea. Love that move by her. Now was her coming onto him real or part of that? I think real but could be total manipulation.
Just watched the newest episode. If this show gets cancelled, I am fully convinced that it will be remembered how Firefly, Arrested Development, etc are. It'd be a travesty because it's arguably my favorite show on TV, and I think most anyone who actually watches it would say the same.
i hope so, but honestly, i think even less people watch this show like there's barely even a cult following. probably not even enough for netflix or the like to pick it up
You're probably right. I was just thinking more in terms of people saying in ten years "Shit, how did that show get cancelled?"
Halt and Catch Fire getting a second season just barely makes up for Rubicon not. Ultimately Rubicon is the company Halt will go down in history with, at least for me.
I think I saw Sepinwall retweet someone who said the finale is going to be fucking amazing and they should renew for s3 based solely on the s2 finale.
Really good finale. Really good season. I don't want to see this story end, hopefully we get a third year of this show.
I feel like they just set up the real show now. Would suck to never get it. I don't really understand why everyone hates Joe. The guy has definitely fucked some things up but he made them all rich too.
Just binged the whole show. Let me summarize what you all clearly already know, but it bears repeating: THIS SHOW IS PHENOMENAL. Like, everything. The acting is top notch. The era is so freaking nostalgic for an 80s kid like me. The music is on point throughout. The plots are exotic enough to be intriguing but not so much as to be unbelievable. The mix of real stories (Apple II, Nintendo, etc.) with the fictional base is handled masterfully. I mean, everything. Even the title animation is perfect for the show. I'm going to totally rip it off for a motion graphics project of my own soon. Let me pose a question: is Lee Pace one of the better actors going right now? He was good as a goofy hapless guy in a show my wife watched briefly called Pushing Daisies. He was good as a power-hungry space villain in Guardians of the Galaxy. He was good as a stonefaced elf king in The Hobbit. And he's perfect as a conflicted, bisexual entrepreneur in HACF. I mean, those are some pretty disparate roles, and he nailed them all.
HOLY SHIT he was the guy from Pushing Daisies. I just caught on to that. Lee Pace is a great actor. I'm surprised he hasn't been in more movies.
As much as I think Walking Dead is trash, the success of that franchise is likely what made the renewal possible.
I saw the alert. I feared it was about cancellation. I hesitantly opened the thread... I PUMPED MY FIST.
