I really enjoyed watching Cameron lose her company; she's absolutely awful and I'm fully #teamdonna. Also, wtf was Gordon thinking having that conversation with her at the party? "I've got to stand by my wife but before I do let me go behind her back and tell Cameron what she's doing"
I just caught up....wow this season has been the best IMO. Next weeks 2 hour finale is gonna be great
I assume the shows status is still up in the air? Seems like it could be a lot of cliff hangers for next season. Cam going to Japan, the stock in peril, ect.
"Do you really think I would have invested in a company without doing a background check on all its key players?" ".......................So, you think of me as a key player, huh?" Boz, you ol' smoothie you.
amcs great for letting them get an ending and four seasons i didn't think it would get a second season to be honest
Best AMC show since Breaking Bad and they know it. Smart to have the complete story and if it ever catches on in streaming they can make some more.
really really loved it, you can tell they might be rushing the ending a little bit to get the story told, but who gives a shit it's still great writing. for two hours i was all THEY ARE GETTING THE BAND BACK TOGETHER, only for cameron to ice her. fucking loved it
I hope I don't sound like an idiot, but what are they building...a web browser like internet explorer?
http://www.ew.com/article/2016/10/11/halt-catch-fire-season-finale-interview comments from the showrunners, cool bit i saw
Yes, technically speaking (ARPANET was really the "first" version of what would become the Internet iirc). But what the consumer class came to call "the Internet" was really a conglomeration of the different networks Joe and Ryan are discussing in this show. Basically, what Joe and Ryan are doing is "discovering" the potential and possibilities of what would eventually be known as "the Internet." The term was already coined (in real life) by the time period of the show, but it would have only been used by tech nerds in the industry, not by the general public, and certainly not in any marketable way.
The basketball game on Joe's TV in the NIM episode last night is Illini vs. Michigan or Iowa. Definitely from Assembly Hall in Champaign Very cool
I'm through episode 7 and I can't decide who's the bigger dumbass: Cam or Ryan. "I am that good!" Pffffffft.
Was behind by a few episodes most of the season but finished it tonight. Last three or four were awesome, especially the finale. Pumped it got one more season.
Not sure if you were just being nostalgic or trying to refute what I said, but you know those are almost a decade after the time period we're in with Halt and Catch Fire, if it's the latter.
Finally caught up. So the last season will be about the browser wars? Sounds awesome. For reference - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Browser_wars
had the same thought when i saw an ad yesterday. will just be streaming it sundays or mondays i guess
