This man Denzel Curry really making 2 minute songs with 2 features on it? TF lol dope track, then just ends...
I found myself in a rare long commute today having to drop my wife off a couple hours away. Ended up listening to Denzel's album 4x on the way back lol He has to be one of the most consistent artists out there, such a dope album if you like the Memphis sound. Definitely great in a vehicle. I prefer Melt My Eyez but this is up there for 2024 for me right behind Samurai. I love EARTHGANG, but not really vibing with that dance collab project. I just need honorary EG member JID to join them for a full album of bangers, please.
Just realized Action Bronson dropped 7/11 like a fluffy egg salad sandwich on artisanal milk bread being devoured by Tyson Fury in the Philippines
Excited about this Mustard album tonight interested to see what 7 to 7 is because it’s the only song right now without a listed feature
Ghostface busting off shots at another car while driving around Delfonics is a top moment in hip hop history
Cold World 7th Chamber Guillotine Swordz not gonna pretend I’m sober but he’s the best, sucks his solo career couldn’t thrive
some of those dudes woulda been better off, solo career wise, leaving after Ironman and Cuban Linx I can't imagine how pissed he musta been to get shittier beats than Cappadonna
he deserved a gza type solo career if he could’ve linked up on a project with muggs or a jake one kinda producer it would’ve taken off
He's at my fav local venue in September. Might have to check him out. Haven't heard anything about him live.
Damn, this one is a bummer. Chino XL passed away. Most people will probably only know of his name because of Hit em Up, but he was one of my favs as a teen/early adult. I had his first 3 cds that were always in rotation pre-streaming, admittedly haven't listened to him in a while as I wasn't even sure he had current stuff. Today about to be Olympics + Chino discography for me. RIP to one of the GOAT lyricists.
guy would've absolutely destroyed tupac in any form of physical confrontation..... he also had some of the best guest features of the 90s annnd... his uncle was P-Funks synth master and pretty big reason why I started fuckin with the keys
This is up there if not better than the new Curry. One of the best new rap albums I’ve listened to lately.
When I go through all the hip hop playlists on spotify with new music , 95% of it is complete garbage. My lord
finally getting around to new Denzel. Jesus this man has teleported me back to the 90s when I discovered 3-6/HCP. Fantastic.
bumped into and chatted up chino a few times he was a massive part of my love for the wake up show so getting to chop it up and show love was fun rip murdering bear
was familiar with his sound but this was the first album of his I'd listened to, had always pegged () him as an acquired taste but this thing hit for me right out the gates, front to back
I really wish I could enjoy his music like everyone else. He has his moments for me but just can’t get into it as much as I want to
Admittedly he’s a weirdo, but so am I and have weird all over the place taste in music which I feel he does based on the stuff he incorporates in his beats he’s top ten new school rap artists for me easily but I know he’s an acquired taste
Kendrick Freddie Gibbs Vince Staples Isaiah Rashad ScHoolboy Q Benny JPEGMAFIA Curren$y Boldy James Ab-Soul Those are my favorites of newer rappers with an honorable mention to Conway and Danny Brown
Strictly from a how much i enjoy the albums they release standpoint. Kendrick Westside Gunn Freddie Gibbs JID Denzel Curry Mick Jenkins Vince Staples Benny The Butcher Kenny Mason Stove God Cooks if Gibbs and Kendrick aren’t considered new school replace them with Boldy James and Earthgang
