I was actually in the "for you" section looking at 100 men vs Silverback gorilla posts. Have no idea who he is, it was just the third time I saw it posted and thought I'd share.
it hit the front page of reddit from a reputable subreddit, it's a legit video. there's your explanation. the rightoid sphere of influence is evergreen in "For You".
I sure wish we had a competent administration that could sling around some good old fashioned American diplomacy, but that is unfortunately, not the case.
Decoding India’s ‘Operation Sindoor’ The Indian military has dubbed the missile strikes in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir “Operation Sindoor”. This name is significant. Sindoor is the Hindi word for vermillion, which married Hindu women often apply to their foreheads. The operation’s name appears to be a reference to the manner in which attackers shot dead 26 people – almost all tourists – in Pahalgam, Indian-administered Kashmir, on April 22. The attack triggered the spiralling tensions between India and Pakistan that led to Wednesday morning’s strikes. Multiple survivor accounts have detailed how the gunmen segregated male tourists from the women, and then pointedly identified those who were non-Muslim before shooting them dead – leaving some married Hindu women widowed. ‘It’s a shame,’ Trump says of India-Pakistan escalation US President Donald Trump has been asked by reporters about the ongoing crisis. “It’s a shame. We just heard about it as we were walking in the doors of the Oval [Office],” he said. “I guess people knew something was going to happen based on a little bit of the past. They’ve been fighting for a long time,” the US president added. “I hope it ends very quickly.” (also Al Jazeera)
How many times have they briefed him on this in the last few months and he ignored/forgot it? Or did they even bother?
Finding credible sources on what's happening is going to be tough. The media situation in both countries is downright appalling. Edit: Not that ours is much better
THREAD: As India launches strikes against Pakistan tonight, misinformation is rapidly spreading online. I'll fact-check viral falsehoods in this thread. This video, viewed over 660,000 times, shows Israeli air strikes on Gaza in October 2023. It's unrelated to Indian strikes tonight.— Shayan Sardarizadeh (@shayan86.bsky.social) 2025-05-06T21:38:02.671Z
bbc and al jazeera seem to be aggregating information alright. I'm not sure if I believe the 3 Indian jets shot down information coming from Pakistan (as reported by AJ). I'm off of twitter, but it's so polluted with Indian and Pakistani bots that getting reliable information seems unlikely. As you say, official media from Indian and Pakistani news sources is going to be mostly propaganda.
Started normal daily hour long briefings, devolved into 1 page of highlights read to him, then just 2-3 days a week, then the last month or so he didn’t do them at all.
He's also sent to the residence with like an end of day report that the staff knew he never read There's been speculation that he's dyslexic but I have no idea how you'd ever prove that
failure of the media to expose what a moron he is by not simply having someone ask “can you point out where pakistan is on a map?” just ask him basic elementary school level civics questions to show what an absolute moron he is. it’s the best way to cover him but a decade in and they still don’t get it
