Personally, I'm glad we lost due to a conspiracy. Here I was thinking we keep losing due to exceptionally shitty guard play.
Those were just sent without comment really inappropriate groupme this morning. I've been told it's actually from an al dot com editorial from Joe Goodman. Lol
Toomer’s rolled in red Thread starterShug Start dateToday at 8:59 AM Reply Jump to newWatch S Shug All-American Gold Member Today at 8:59 AM Add bookmark #1 Walked the dog this morning down to Toomer’s and looked at the trees and saw red hanging from them. Gets my blood boiling. Talked to one of the university guys working on cleaning up the area and suggested they concentrate on getting the red out of the trees first. Yet again we play the role of David vs Goliath and can only knock the eye out of Goliath and not the shot to head needed to kill him. People have to step back from the ledge, give Hugh the time and support to bring in higher quality athletes and put us on an even playing field with the big boys. Life long Auburn fan here, former Auburn athlete, no one wants to win more than I do, I’m here to support our team. War Damn Eagle!
Lost in all that amazingness is the thread dedicated to saying the Mizzou student don’t drown. I can’t imagine the brain power posting in that thread.
Sorry, your FF doesn't count bc you didn't beat any good teams. (Pls don't take away our SECT Championship)
Sentiment is def shared by some posters here. I think it's dumb for Auburn fans to stick their head in the sand and refuse to give or acknowledge Oats' success. There is nuances between Oats taking over Bama vs Bruce taking over Auburn and the time it took each to get to a higher level that are important and valid, but that doesn't remove the fact that Oats is a solid coach/recruiter and has made Bama basketball into a good program.
Fair. It read like Pearl turned AU around a lot quicker. I think that's why some were like wtf. Pearl has access to all of those things right now so I don't really see the difference.
Auburn was 26-40 in their 1st two seasons. Oats was above 500 in season 1 and 26-7 in season two. I agree, now (and after this year when we switch to Nike) everything is essentially on an even playing field. I think they are relatively similar HCs in their current state. Auburn has punched well above their weight in the regular season each of the 6 of 7 years or so....but outside 1 run been pretty disappointing in the tournament. That really needs to change
