This is my second time, I know Ryan and Brian. Their stuff is fucking awesome.
That sick. How many fittings did it take to get it 'final?'
Haven't gotten a suit, I'm getting 2 this time. I just did 10 shirts last time.
Word. Were the shirts good to go when they got in, or did you have to do alterations?
Fit perfectly. By far the best shirts I own.
How much are we talking for a shirt?
I think they gave me a range of like $90 - $175, depending on materials used and the bells and whistles you throw on that ish.
I think they're 120-400 from what I remember.
Never been to Sunburnt Cow. I'll have to try that out. I had a great experience at Essex, no problems getting drinks. Oh well.
Another not well known brunch spot - Hop Devil Grill. All of their craft beers are included. Food is only okay, but $20 for 90 minutes of craft beer is fantastic.
THere are some things I need to work out (like how I'm paying for it being chief among them), but I've been admitted to Columbia for the fall.
Let me bask in the TMB NYC smugness
Congrats man, welcome to the citaaaaayyyy
Congrats, which program?
I have to do 2-3 semesters of undergrad and then hopefully into the business school for my MBA. Kinda sucks, but I've been out of school long enough and was lazy enough in the first go round that I couldn't get straight in, so it wasn't all that unexpected. Still an incredible opportunity that I can't pass up.
Did Graffiti work out for you this weekend?
Oh shit! Welcome to the glory
Tried to go on Friday night at like 9:15 or so, but they wouldn't seat us till 10:30
Ended up going to Deici, right next door. Had never heard of it before but the menu looked great/unique (it was Japanese/Italian fusion) so we gave it a go and had an awesome meal. Bummed I didn't try Graffiti, but will definitely make another attempt soon.
Please explain. Was the sushi rolled in pasta or did you have sushi covered in bolognese?
Never seen anything like it. I ordered miso-glazed black cod, which was served over a bed of mushroom risotto. Was awesome.
There was also sauteed asparagus with Japanese duck bacon, which was really good too. Here's the menu: http://www.menupages.com/restaurants/dieci/menu
Finally made it to nyc. Times square sucked a giant Dick. Went to the Jimmy Fallon show which was awesome. central park was beautiful. Saw all the touristy stuff and went to some great food spots and hit up some historic pubs etc. I hate the hustle and bussttle of that city, fucki.g hated it and will never go back but damn the food was good. Overall fuck new York, I prefer Jersey.
Ugly gorilla, go away
Attempted to go to Katz's Deli on Houston yesterday for lunch and the line was just too long
katz is a tourist trap
With delicious meat
Got a reservation to Ko for Monday night for anniversary dinner.
Congrats man, had the number one meal of my life there.
Get Katz's delivered
I wish I could afford to go there. Definitely on the top of my list.
Hey bruhs, I know we've got a laundry list of dope restaurant suggestions but I need to narrow it down. Girl's birthday is coming up and I wanna take her out. Nothing super fancy, but I want the food to be on point. What y'all thinking?
To add to this, they give you massive amounts of mustard/other sauces when you order delivery

Awesome date spot, food is fantastic.
I think this is one of the spots I had in mind based on this thread. Good stuff
Lemme know how it goes.
will do. I'm gonna compile some options but that's up there at the tippy top
Not sure if you would go to Brooklyn, but for the money and a unique menu, I loved Brooklyn Star.
Can't wait to get back to the GOAT city, gonna be a lot different from down south
anyone here been to roberta's in brooklyn? heading there later this week and have heard good things.
My old roommate says it's one of the best spots he's been to.
I wonder how much it would cost to get delivery to Stamford, CT?
SF not sure if you saw but the pok pok restaurant (not just the take-out place) opened about two weeks ago:
it's about 1 mile from my office.
hell ya I saw it. Gotta get out there soon.
Anyone else got CIGNA, I just booked a dental appointment and I'm a little
Used to. You're straight, just make sure they check exactly how many cleanings you can get in a year covered. Assholes at my dentist charged me 80 bucks last time because they didn't check my policy before they scheduled it, and I was about it and didn't check either.
I chipped my tooth 2 weekends ago in the dark shitshow that is Phebe's late night. I have Emblem Health and the dental coverage is pathetic... literally 1 dentist in Manhattan south of 96th St and it was some unknown dude in LES. I care about my teeth so I went to a friend of a friend and paid out of pocket (luckily he didn't kill me with the bill). Good luck man, no dentists take insurance in NYC is what I learned.
Going with this guy
I'll be down in NYC for Saturday night to celebrate my buddies graduation from West Point. it'll be him his fiancé and I, where do you NYC bros suggest we gonto get drunk
