Almost done with 1. Doing about 80% of the side missions, but plan on doing all again in two and three.
Working ny way back through 2 now. Just love it so much. I’ve played through 1 and 2 probably 8 times. Only did 3 once.. can’t wait to dive into 3
grunt just wrecks shit, he’s always in my team. Been doing more of a renegade this time around but apparently my paragon and renegade both were high enough to mediate the Miranda/Jack dispute to keep them both in line. I remember very little about 3 outside of the ending
How in the world did they not do more with this property? There’s so many mass effect games they could have made besides andromeda. How about a first contact war prequel? How about a game where the rachni war is the backdrop? This universe is so incredible and unexplored
I need a new game to play. I’m for some reason in a tech/sci-fi kick right now. Which game should I play? What should I expect?
ME2 is one of the best games ever. ME1 has a great story and a great introduction, but a little slow. ME3 is really really good, as well.
I would jump into ME1 and go all the way to 3. ME1 gameplay fun enough, but can be a bit wonky. ME2 the gameplay is great. Play it slow; take in all the dialogue. Read and listen to everything that gets added to to codex.. It’s an incredible SCi Fi universe if you take it all in.
Also you should start at 1. Story and companions build and if you started at two or three you would be missing out in some great build and character development
totally agree which is why I posted what I did above. How did they not get more mileage out of this universe
good to start with 1 if you're doing Mass Effect for the first time. the remastered makes the gameplay a bit more palatable, though it still pales in comparison to the sequels. but the story and characters make it worth playing through if you've never experienced it before Outer Worlds lifts some stuff from Mass Effect. The crew relationship, dialogue trees, etc. should feel familiar, though Mass Effect does it better.
Tried to do more renegade stuff and it ended up with a squad member not being loyal and dying in the suicide mission because I couldn’t mediate a dispute. Also I thought you could do the final loyalty mission before going through the final relay and still save all of the crew….guess not
Went back in and went right to the collectors mission to save all of the crew and saved legions loyalty mission until after and he fucking died. Guess I fucked this play through up
So before I jump into 3, do I save legion or half the crew? I always choose destroy at the end so brokering peace between the quarians and geth seems like a waste of time

ooooo I just unlocked hers, too. I played when the game first launched, but only did one playthrough.
pretty sure everybody has to be loyal to survive the suicide mission. The way to do it is to do everything but Tali and Legion’s loyalty missions before the Reaper IFF mission. At the completion of that a timer starts, and if you do more than 2 missions you lose at least half the crew.
I always made sure i never lost anyone on the Suicide mission because i hated missing out on any content from the characters.
i enjoyed andromeda but I adore everything about mass effect. 1 is the worst just because it’s so old, the graphics are rough. 2 is an absolute masterpiece. 3 is very good but people got mad about the ending, I didn’t think it ruined the game like some did
2>3>>>1 1 suffers from just being antiquated with repetitive Mako missions, but it does an amazing job as a world builder if nothing else. I've played this one more than I have the others combined. 3 gets shit on a lot for the ending, and rightfully so, but 99.9% of that game is amazing. I also think they cut out the boring as shit resource mining. Not to mention I thought the multiplayer was incredibly fun. 2 is great at everything. Underrated aspect of it is the amazing voice acting throughout. Most of the companions are very fun, but I hate that it means I couldn't take some of my favorites along (wrex and liara, but at least liara gets the shadowbroker dlc) Couldn't get past the 2nd planet in andromeda. The facial animations were the worst from a AAA title I have ever seen from this era.
I've been playing on PC. Now its available via game pass. Wonder if I should download it on the pass, and if my saves will carry over? Get them achievements!
1 has such an amazing story I will always love it. Can't wait to put Ashley and Kaiden on the bench though.
