That's stupid as fuck considering probably 99% of them would recognize the symbol because they grew up using keyboards to communicate
I needed surgery 10 years ago to remove a “horn” that was growing out of my knee, I wonder who it was talking to?
Cliffs: bone spurs and other structural changes from the postural shift and forward head tilt driven by texting and hunching towards screens. Kind of fascinating to watch evolution in real time. I’d also expect that we begin to see alterations in the elbow joint from it being constantly bent and lifted from all the vaping and beard trimming.
I disagree with the term octothorpe. It implies 8. There are either 4 lines ‘quatrothorpe’ or 12 lines ‘duodecothorpe’. Calling it 8 and ignoring the other lines is just irresponsible.
Previous generations also constantly tilted their heads forward to pick up millennial children that were throwing temper tantrums, but we didn’t develop horns.
They don't. That's the point. Boomers think we're doomed because kids graduating from high school don't know what the "&" is called and that's stupid. We're doomed because Boomers were and are the most selfish people in the history of Earth.
Got to love how the Boomer go to is "haha look how shitty we are are parenting and funding education"
Look at this idiot thinking this thread is solely about people posting in this thread Disgrace of a generation he comes from
Remember back when Indeed just posted really oddly specific and detailed erotic posts in threads about young gymnasts
I’m like Clooney in looks, income, wife, & age of kids. Maybe just age of kids, but we take what we can get.
I feel sorry for almost all of you here as you didn’t get to experience the awesome cultural vibes of the 70s. We appropriated every culture without a second thought and nobody really raised an Eyebrow. Even tho fashion and music were amazing, the food was pretty much terrible. Because it had to fit through unsophisticated white peoples lens. All the Chinese places were cliche, the few Middle Eastern places had either a magic carpet or a genie lamp as the landmark, and you were considered an embarrassment if you were into food trucks, because they all only served boiled hot dogs and most of them were run by angry Korean guys. Food is better now, but culture today pivots between being absolutely uninteresting and completely insufferable.
I was in The Gen Z bracket at that time, but most of my friends were adults and I was very observant of things like style and personal interactions and intrigue. Maybe the culture was so impressive because of how bad the economy was and how basic technology. But things really started to accelerate in the latter part of the decade. Carter was a good guy but had there been a stronger Democrat in place Reagan would have never happened and the world today would be a much different place and millennials wouldn’t be complaining about everything.
