Only if you use decimal degrees like a feckless peasant
that’s what is listed on Google maps
I was gunna be funny and list the most northern, southern, Eastern and western points I could find in Texas, but Nandor came in here and depressingly trumped that joke
0,0 is south of Ghana in the Atlantic Ocean
0,180 is just the pacific ocean.
I feel duped.
this would’ve still made me laugh for the record
Kentucky. One of these days.
I had this same exact thought yesterday
It’s wild that I live in Des Moines, further north than shawn has ever even been.
North and East: Berlin
South: Key West
West: The Tacoma Narrows Bridge
A surprising amount of you havent been to Hawaii
They make boats
Majority of this board is from the southeast. Not as easy to get to Hawaii as say Mexico or the Caribbean.
Kentucky would not be further north, east, south, or west of any of those places
Also Nandor the Relentless, you should travel more. Hop on a plane to cheap flight to Seattle for a weekend or something.
Don’t need to, they have food and stores in my town.
Hawaii is pretty damn far from the east coast. Really wanna go but it’s kind of a pain
Lived in Oregon for 25 years; number of times to Hawaii was 0.
Currently live in Florida for 15 years; number of times to Hawaii is at 3.
I think I fucked this up
South- Buenos Aires
East- New Zealand
I forgot Hawaii so consider my answers edited
This appears to be the winner in terms of extremes
New Zealand is further south than Buenos Aires
East - Boston
South - San Jose, Costa Rica
I know a few people that don’t like to travel or only go to the same places every year.
I absolutely am the opposite, if I was ever rich there is little doubt in my mind that I would hit as many countries and places I could in the world. Food and different cultures are probably my favorite thing about being a human.
Technically this could be possible if he arrived at the northern tip of NZ by sea and stayed on the beach. The EZE airport is technically half a degree south of there.
Congrats to any of you who can name four different places in your most extremes.
I just figured mine up and S/E is New South Wales and N/W is British Columbia. BORING.
South: Panama City, Panama
East: Bitter End Yacht Club, Virgin Gorda
was going to make a lotr or got (rip) post about my locations to be silly and gather some likes but am too hungover and realize i dont care that much, god bless u all
to be fair, NSW and BC are pretty good extremes. I cant really claim south as my furthers southern part is still the nothern hemisphere (maldives) and my most nothern is denmark, which isnt that exicting either
North: Sitka, AK (57 degrees N)
South: Castries, St. Lucia (14 degrees N...)
East: Warsaw, Poland (21 degrees E)
West: Maui, HI (156 degrees W)
I guess I never realized until just now that I had never been below the equator. that's dumb of me.
The northern hemisphere has around 90% of population, 68% of land mass. Only 32 counties are located completely south of the equator. 13 are split by it. That’s a combined 23% of nations. It makes sense that most Americans probably haven’t been down there.
Apparently I need to go to Hawaii
A lot of TMB has been to Buenos Aires. I actually saw two other TMBers when I was down there
I'm ready to get back to actual posting of maps
So has hitler so idk where you’re going with this.
E: West Warwick, RI
W: East L.A., Calif.
S: North Hollywood, Fla.
N: Uhhh, South Dakota
Fuck you, take a like.
Bonus points for being so close to the ocean and not making it to the ocean in LA
