Give him some of those Jr Pepsi 400 roids and let him flyyyyyyy.
Bubba just begging to get spun by Logano there. Luckily Joey decided to be nice early
How’s the 20 going to pit without clearing the grill? Jesus.
It was bad enough when it was just teams of 4 but now that it's all cars from the same manufacturer working together it just sucks. Idk how you fix it, maybe turn off the radio between teams beyond owners. Or maybe let spotters talk to all teams but monitor them and not allow strategy talk. A dozen Chevys working together is just dumb. Drivers should work with guys they work well with or like or don't like, not bc of the emblem on the front of their car.
Ya it sucks
The emblem on the front pays a lot of bills.
I know so I get why teams do it. That's why I think Nascar should step in for so its better for fans.
Some of it is that each manufacturer is making different mileage, so those are the guys who get on the same pit strategy.
To this day every time I’m watching pit stops when they drop the jack in my head I hear “go buddy, go, go, go!” from the spotter on nascar 99 for N64.
Since when has Nascar been in it for the fans?
He needed to get to the top coming out of 2 and he didn’t go.
Yea looked really close but he probably had room.
Turned away to watch John Oliver. How did Bubba get shuffled back? Just get out of line or a fuck up?
He tried to make the bottom line work with McDowell and couple others to give this race some actual racing and paid the price because only the top works. Got shuffled back.
Little debris turn 5 to put em side by side around lap 8?
Need that to get Bubba back on lead lap.
Alright Nascar, need a caution or this is going to boring until turn 4 on last lap.
Knowing the 4 Fords will play defense as much as going for the individual win is lame.
Hahah Michael McDowell
Idk how 18 and 2 walk away from that
McDowell just ran the 2 into 22 and wrecked both and got the win
When did they stop the race to the finish line if there's a last lap caution? That was preposterous lol
Fuck yeah. Love it when a long shot wins it
Such a goober
They normally still do. Not sure why they went yellow there. Maybe bc it was such a big wreck?
They haven’t raced back to the flag in like at least 10 years.
They quit racing back to the flag in case of a massive wreck in turn 1/2
I have such an irrational dislike for Keselowski
No amount of that would ever be considered irrational
approximately the last time I watched
Makes sense but seems like they could've done so here. But I don't even understand stages so don't mind me
Normally they don't throw the caution there though and let the leaders race back to end the race. That was a really bad wreck though so not shocked the threw the caution. Yellow 2 seconds earlier and Elliott wins.
I also don’t understand stages except to create fake drama during the napping times of a race
was he at fault? seemed like he was mad at his teammate but to the untrained eye it looked like he was at fault
I'm not gonna say McDowell didn't win, but there's no way FOX's graphic is correct. Watch the camera shot that looks like it is from the infield. You can see the caution light in turn 4, and it doesn't go out until well after the wreck. The only time McDowell was as far ahead as FOX's graphic showed was almost immediately as the wreck was happening.
I’m like 99% sure the officials weren’t watching the telemetry to the millisecond to see who was in what position then throwing the caution.
If I were to guess they rewind the footage to the point the caution should be out and look at the positions. This isn’t the NFL, but even if it was they’d have the data to overturn the call.
Hard to say. McDowell gave him a huge push. He probably needed to anticipate that better and go low 1/2 second quicker to get under the 22. Or take the push and just push the 22 squad in the rear but then the 22 runs off to win the race. Tough spot though bc if he goes low 1/2 second faster than McDowell hits him in the right rear and he goes for a spin. Tough spot for him honestly. McDowell just timed the push really poorly for where he was going to push, if that makes sense. If McDowell were 1/4 car lower and 2 could have gone low to take a push in the middle of his rear bumper, they both go low and hang the 22 out.
Na he came back and passed Chase and led to the line. Chase said he knew McDowell had won when the light came on.
Yea everyone understand that. Just saying it's kind of arbitrary when they throw it. Two seconds earlier or later decides the race. They aren't timing it for someone to win or lose though. They don't do it when it should have gone out, they rewind to when it did and score that way.
Anyone blaming BK for that mess are out of their minds. Terrible push by McDowell and shitty block attempt (what else is new) from Logano.
Impossible to tell from this video but damn it was close. Definitely closer than the graphic Fox showed.
