Yea it's weak as fuck...but you can understand why they're only open for 4 hours a day...those wops are literally sprinting around slinging pizza and it's a complete madhouse. Probably the best pizza I've had here.
I know...and it's kinda hard for me to judge NY style vs neopolitan like Desano's...but I imagine it would come down to personal preference.
I had 312 Pizza last night and confirmed, again, that its awesome. Nashville's pizza scene has certainly picked up the slack that existed 5+ years ago
Played Hermitage Saturday probably my favorite course I've played down here so far, will be back. First time I have ever seen sheep on a golf course was pretty funny just minding their own business hanging out by the tee boxes
Do you know which course you played? I played it for the first time in a client's golf scramble last fall and really enjoyed it. We played President's Reserve. But, the scramble had both courses booked and I heard good things about General's Retreat, too.
Just got an ATL like. I was for sure some wild animal killed him. At least the concert list will be updated again
Played Pres. Reserve as well nice long track thought it was challenging but fair.. Looking forward to going back in the summer looks like it will be a beautiful course in the summer
This is a great course. Already have a tee time booked here in a couple of weeks at presidents reserve. I highly suggest checking out Gaylord springhouse
It looks as though Anthony Bourdain, everyone's favorite foul-mouthed globe-trotting chef, is in Nashville filming an episode for a new season of his hit CNN series Parts Unknown. While he and his crew are doing a pretty good job of keeping their various locations under wraps, a trail of social media breadcrumbs is forming. Bourdain was at The Patterson House on Sunday night, with one fan snapping a photo of B-roll footage being shot. Then last night he was spotted doing a little East Nashville dive bar hopping with Husk executive chef and frequent partner in crime Sean Brock, hitting up Dino's and taking time out for a photo op at Edgefield Sports Bar & Grill. Other tips that Eater has received have placed him at well known spots like City House andPinewood Social. So if you happen to spot the celebrity chef around town, let us know.
They may not have names yet, but we now know what chef Maneet Chauhan plans for her follow-up to Chauhan Ale & Masala House, as reps for Chauhan tell Eater that separate Asian and diner concepts are currently in the works. Located in the former Anthem nightclub space next door to Chauhan Ale & Masala House, the first restaurant is said to have "a strong emphasis on authentic, regional Chinese cuisine," focusing on Asian flavors drawn from Chauhan and her team's various culinary backgrounds and travels. The second, a more casual concept, is described as serving "elevated cuisine focused on classic diner fare." A private dining room with seating for 60 and offering menus from all three restaurants, as well as custom menus, is also under construction. Chauhan, along with her husband Vivek Deora and Moni Advani, are again behind the new restaurants. All three projects are currently under construction and are slated for fall completion, so check back often for more updates as new details become available.
Those longstanding rumors of James Beard award-winning New Orleans chef John Besh opening up shop in Nashville, and specifically The Gulch, are now officially confirmed, as Besh plans to oversee the operation of three new concepts inside the Thompson Nashville hotel, currently under construction next to The 404 Kitchen. According to The Tennessean, Besh's new hotel dining division One House Hospitality has partnered with the Thompson's parent company Commune Hotels & Resorts to open The Marsh House, a restaurant meant to be "an homage to the place of Besh's childhood" and focusing on seafood, along with Killebrew Coffee, a fast-casual breakfast and lunch spot, and a rooftop bar serving cocktails and small plates. Brian Landry, chef/partner at Besh's seafood-centric New Orleans restaurant Borgne, has been named executive chef for One House Hospitality, with former Besh Restaurant Group COO Emery Whalen tapped to oversee operations. The hotel is aiming for a fall 2016 opening.
WEDGEWOOD-HOUSTON - The We-Ho neighborhood continues to grow, with two restaurant and market concepts slated for the new Six10 Merritt mixed-use building. Sassafras Market & Deli will open this fall and offer salads, sandwiches, wines and craft beers, as well as natural and organic produce and baked goods. Also coming to the space is an as-yet-unannounced restaurant from Bongo Java that is still being developed. [Tennessean] EAST NASHVILLE - A number of Nashville restaurateurs are involved in a new Greek food conceptcoming to the east side's 704 Main St. building this summer. Greko Greek Street Food,a partnership between the increasingly prolific Fresh Hospitality, Bill Darsinos of Southside Grill, Pat Martinof Martin's Bar-B-Que Joint,Sam Darsinos of Darfons Restaurant & Lounge, and Tony Darsinosand Kathy Katsaitis of Gondola House Pizzeria, will serve homemade pita bread, lamb, chicken, pork, and other signature Greek street food items. [Tennessean]
That is sodosopa in historic Kenny district.... South Park making fun of gentrification and it is spot on. Think Bourdain might be heading to Arnold's just stopped in for lunch and they were setting up a camera crew
The updated OP is awesome. However, as a new Nashvillian can we maybe get some kind of map that gives a better idea where these different areas/neighborhoods are?
1. Holy fuck. I always forget about how delicious Mitchell's Deli is. That sandwich and that sweet tea is at minimum a 9 out of 10. 2. Just reserved my spot at Steeplechase again. This will be 9 out of 10 years that I have gone....the only absence was for my college graduation. Christmas in mutha fuckin May!
I love Mitchell's. I live just down the street. What's your sandwich of choice? I always go Roast Beef and Cheddar with a bag of Zapps Crawtators and Half and Half tea.
Haven't been to pepper fire...don't they have something like a fried grilled cheese with hot chicken in it?
Got the tender royale. Hot chicken sitting atop a fried cheese sandwich. Went with the medium to be safe..... This fucker is pretty hot!
Love that place Also we can all agree that the proximity to Lexington is by far the worst thing about this city. Fuck these people, go back to your shantys
Anthony Bourdain @Bourdain 20m20 minutes agoSouth River City, Austin Thanks to all our friends old and new in #Nashville This episode will melt faces and explode minds
Anthony Bourdain @Bourdain 35m35 minutes ago I’m not complaining or anything but #Nashville Hot Chicken can be a three day commitment. #FuelAirExplosive
I made the mistake of driving through downtown right when the game ended yesterday...a fire dept car was coming along with it's lights on and a Kentucky fan jumped in the street and flicked the guy off for like 30 seconds...wtf
