It's pretty much all bottom of the roster guys who were never going to see the field in a meaningful way. The only real contributor to go in the portal so far is Juwan Johnson. And all he contributed was dropping passes.
Not much room for him to get a chance this season with a Trayveon Williams leading the SEC in rushing. They played all 3 freshman RBs earlier in the season in some blowouts at the end and one of the kids named Jashaun Corbin looked and head and shoulders better so he got the #2 label. Additionally we had a transfer from UCF named cordarrian richardson who has to sit out this season but by all accounts looks really good and should take the big bruising back role that Strong was vying for. Finally, we brought in the state’s best HS RB in recruiting. So a ton of head winds for Strong in college Station.
Lamont wade? Also heard a projected D starter may still be coming but haven’t heard his name in portal
Wade has been a massive bust. He rarely played last season as a soph. If he stayed/stays he will struggle to make the 2 deep.
His play never lived up to his ranking. He was getting passed on the depth chart by younger guys. McPhearson is probably the biggest loss, likely would've been the 4th corner this year. Wade's situation is very strange. He had a not-so-cryptic tweet with his locker empty and that it wasn't his decision.
Being in Miami > being in Champaign, but I wouldn't be surprised if he changes his mind again tomorrow.
Diaz seems to be making all the right moves. He needs to lock down all the prolific weapons from that 2018 offense that he can.
I guess the Big XII still has a rule in place that allows it. He should be able to transfer wherever and be immediately eligible regardless though. I bet that gets fixed soon
