I haven't read the whole thread, so apologies if someone has brought this up. I originally thought Ford was making a Theresa host in his secret cabin but it's obvious he's making an Elsie host right?
only obvious things at this point: 1) New clementine >>> Ole clementine 2) Teddy has grown a giant pair of balls in the last 3 episodes
Felix and Sylvester might both be hosts. Simply because if you're running Delos and you have to clean these hosts everyday it would be cheaper to have these robots do it because they can basically work non-stop.
went and looked at this during lunch break. 1st time she sees herself in Pariah - william is talking to logan about the brothel and so he's not "in the picture with her" when she sees herself walking. But the dolores she sees is in the blue dress. however, dolores - currently with william is also in the blue dress at this time. The next morning they go meet with Lawrence and she changes clothes to current attire - button down and slacks. Actual brothel scene is the 2nd night they're in Pariah. Dolores in new clothes. Goes away on her own in the brothel and sees the Tarot Dolores - in a blue dress. what's that mean TLAU? IDK here's my monkey throwing darts guess: - She made the trip in 1982 when Arnold was still alive. This was "Bernard" having the talks with her and she's always in the blue dress. There was no Lawrence at that time = she never got her change of clothes, hence she's in the blue dress on night 2 of Pariah when 1986 William's Dolores has changed clothes. AND still in the blue dress at Escalante (church town) for the original massacre, as we saw in this week's memory - in 1986 and 2016 Lawrence is out there and gives her the change of clothes: which is why the scenes where she is alone on the train and by the river, she has on the street clothes. - The 1982 journey ended at the church town with the massacre and her meeting Arnold. She said after she snapped out of the memory in church town to william: "Arnold was supposed to meet me here." I think she believed that was gonna happen the 2nd time out there when she went with William as well, but the town had been buried after the 1982 occurrence.
I think there are more hosts around as well working behind the scenes. Control freak Ford wouldn't leave humans to do that important work.
Ford is a host....Done. Anthony Hopkins, because of his age, cannot commit to a season 2 airing in 2018, which they will film in 2017 I'm assuming. *Any Sopranos fan will know what happens when an elder cast member dies in-between seasons. Maybe Ford dies and his consciousness is uploaded into another host for season 2? Since the writers have already said season 2 will focus more on how the hosts are actually made start-to-finish.
This was very helpful in breaking down the possible triple timeline, gifs included. http://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2016/11/westworld-season-1-episode-8-trace-decay-who-is-wyatt
I never expected Hopkins to be in the series for the long haul. He's too old, but a solid two seasons or just a really strong 1 season is good. Same for Ed Harris. I can imagine they're going to keep Marsden and Wood, but continue to introduce different folks and hosts in the park. Or not, who the fuck knows.
Watching people try to work all this out is pretty funny. I am willing to bet that MIB doesn't rape Delores when he grabs her and drags her to the barn. I think something else happens there.
The "come find me" voice to Dolores when she was at the river was mixed with a woman's voice this time. Whatever that means.
They are the best-kept secret in the universe. Working for a highly funded yet unofficial government agency, Kay (Tommy Lee Jones) and Jay (Will Smith) are the Men in Black, providers of immigration services and regulators of all things alien on Earth. While investigating a series of unregistered close encounters, the MIB agents uncover the deadly plot of an intergalactic terrorist who is on a mission to assassinate two ambassadors from opposing galaxies currently in residence in New York City.
They never showed what happened though. It was all just to make the MIB out to be a bad guy. But it could be he drags her in there and instead of rape he gets Delores to remember who he is and they have sweet, sweet robot on man love. And that's how we find out that he's William. Or he rapes the shit out of her and he's not William.
at the new to the thread people coming in with stuff that's been talked about. not hating at all MajorRaider but damn near every scene in this fucking season has been talked about and analyzed to the point of headaches that I doubt anyone even cares to humor you there and even discuss it. I'd bet there's probably at least a half of a page or multiple somewhere back in pages 1-20 that had a whole discussion about the MiB-Dolores barn scene.
started westworld on saturday. already up to ep 8. nailed that bernard was a host from the start. as fuck
..........right about what? I don't think anyone still believes he raped Dolores in the barn I think a lot of people will be legitimately angry if there's only 1 timeline and we have MiB and William meet in a scene. People will be turning it off in denial
which is honestly part of the problem with shows like this that inspire so much theorizing. People latch on to their theories and nothing short of that will satisfy some of them.
I'm hardly new to the thread as I introduced the Mannequin Theory back on November 2nd thank you very much. But I skim this shit at best once a week to every 10 days, so if something has been discussed I'm not surprised. Nor do I really care if it has.
wow, finally caught up. lots to unpack from that episode. First time the show felt a little weighed down by its own premise. Felt like a lot of exposition and set-up because they realized the big shit in the last two episodes needed so much of groundwork. I hope that's true gonna run back through the thread. likes will be awarded for strong, insightful poasts, no likes will be given for multiple-timeline cherrypicking
