so... some people guessed the storyline and to fix this they are going to just release the storyline in advance of the season? i'm not sure i fully understand the problem they're trying to address
It was a joke. The video TDintheCorner posted is the video from Nolan. Nolan posted a link to that video last night on reddit after his comment reached the mark he had set. Feel free to watch it as it contains zero spoilers. He has said pretty much since the end of the first season that he wanted to mess with posters on the Westworld subreddit as he himself is a long-time redditor. It's not actually a 25-minute video about this season. It's about 3 minutes of something relevant (and funny) and then 22 minutes of a dog sitting in front of a piano.
Gonna be some "supersized" episodes this season... http://ew.com/tv/2018/04/18/westworld-season-2-super-sized-episodes/ Premiere is a little over 70 minutes, 4th episode is a little over an hour then the finale "is going to keep going and going."
https://clickventures.clickhole.com...-can-you-retrieve-your-wedding-rin-1825124420 Maybe already posted? Anyway Sexual Wallace really makes me Lololol Also might stay out of this thread. Probably not smart enough to figure out William was MIB without theories
So, obviously still at least 2 timelines going on right now. Right after the massacre and I think like 2 weeks later is what that guy said when they found Bernard on the beach?
I'm completely hooked, again. The entire story continuing plus -delos military -secret bunkers (backing up human memories and dna?) -secret package delos wants delivered -drone hosts -tiger from "park 6" -an entire sea nobody knew about -ford's consciousness still around as evidenced by the robot kid
Couple things: -the robot kid was Ford as a child, so hard to say his consciousness is still around yet. The maze and the voices they heard in season one were Arnold and Ford in an attempt for the hosts to find their own inner voice. Doesn't mean that Ford's consciousness doesn't still exist, either in the code or in an actual host. But I think it's safe to assume real Ford is dead, since he had maggots in his head. I guess hosts can decompose to some extent, but that seemed to be a tell that it was human Ford's body. - secret package was Peter Abernathy. Not sure why they wanted him. I remember them going and finding the old hosts Charlotte and Delos trying to get information out of the park. Will be interesting to see what their end game with the "insurance" is there. Just to preserve a copy of the IP in case the hosts are all corrupted/destroyed? Did make me think for a minute maybe Maeve was the package since she was programed to leave, but that would have been Ford's program, not Delos.
I'm pretty sure Charlotte just chose Peter Abernathy at random when she went down to cold storage to upload the data near the end of season 1. Wasn't anything special, just a package for the data. Will be interesting to see if Delos eventually got the data somehow or what did happen that triggered them finally sending in the cavalry after 2 weeks.
And what happened to Bernard. If he killed all those hosts and then ended up on a beach, but not the beach they found at the sea they didn't know existed.
Got some Cobb waking up on the beach in Inception vibes from Bernard waking up on the beach like that.
Need to do a rewatch sober tomorrow. MIB miraculous recovery from a broken arm stood out. Slitting throats and shit.
I believe so. Was really, really hard to tell just watching through but looking at it again/seeing screencaps it seemed to be Teddy. I think Dolores just dislocated his shoulder, didn't break anything.
Bernard waking up on the beach is one timeline a couple weeks(?) after the end of last season Charlotte and Bernard and MiB are picking up in the aftermath of the banquet as well as Teddy/Dolores scenes Then theres Dolores flashbacks I think that's right
You can definitely tell Bernard is in multiple timelines. The corpses in previous scenes at the banquet were still pretty normal. At the end when Bernard rolls back into town with the security crew there’s flies and maggots and the like. It’s going to be a lot fun figuring out timelines again.
Bernard with Charlotte is immediately after the reckoning. Bernard with the security is two weeks later. Something obviously happened with Charlotte that lands him on the beach being woken up.
Seems like Westworld, and presumably the other parks, are all located on some large island in the south Pacific. We can presume those were a few Chinese military officers or something on the beach when Bernard wakes up.
I'm torn between how much internet reading/theorizing I want to do this season. Part of me loves doing all of that but I feel like it always makes the things that actually happen in the show a little disappointing. Going to try and take a step back from it this season.
