Defense needs a total overhaul. Our D Line on paper is so good but haven’t done shit. We need money to get a second CB and new safeties
Sucks, But losing everything we lost last year on defense…. And have an absolutely zero cap room… Really hurt this team this year. This game is setting up to 2 end just like the three previous playoff games…
The Von Miller contract absolutely fucked us. We went all in with that, and didn’t get the ring and now it hurts
2 Major Moves need to happen this offseason. Von Miller & Dawson Knox off the cap hit. Got a find a way to get 2 good CB because Rasul is not on contract. Find some safeties as well.
it sucks. Josh will be 29 in May. Mahomes, Burrow, and Jackson will be in the AFC for the next decade too, plus any newcomers. Hard to think on these days when this will actually break our way. we badly need to strengthen the defense in the draft. If we drafted defenders like the Eagles did, we'd actually be able to slow down these other AFC contenders. From a Fox Sports Article: the Bills will also have a surplus of draft picks, which should allow them to either draft a deep class of rookies or package picks to move up as they want. They have an extra second-round pick from trading receiver Stefon Diggs to the Texans, extra picks in the fourth- and sixth-round picks from other trades, and two compensatory draft picks, both likely after the fifth round, for losing two free agents last year in receiver Gabe Davis and edge rusher Leonard Floyd.
Free Agents: As for their own free agents, there are only two that should be expensive to keep: receiver Amari Cooper, who was acquired from the Browns at midseason, and cornerback Rasul Douglas. Safety Damar Hamlin is also a free agent, as is receiver Mack Hollins, who had a touchdown in Sunday's game. Running back James Cook, who led the NFL with 16 rushing touchdowns this past season, is entering the final year of his rookie contract and is now eligible for a lucrative extension.
Seems like letting Miller, Knox, Jones, and Milano after June 1 might be the move. Here’s a look at each of Buffalo’s cut candidates and how much money they would save: Von Miller, LB 2025 Cap: $23.8 million Cap Saving: $8.4 million (pre-June 1), or $17.4 million (post-June 1) Dawson Knox, TE 2025 Cap: $14.6 million Cap Saving: -$2.4 million (pre-June-1), or $5.0 million (post-June-1) DaQuan Jones, DT 2025 Cap: $9.4 million Cap Saving: $1.8 million (pre-June-1) $5.5 million (post-June-1) A.J. Epenesa, EDGE 2025 Cap: $7.5 million Cap Saving: $3.3 million (pre-June-1) $6.2 million (post-June-1) Matt Milano, LB 2025 Cap: $15.8 million Cap Saving: -$1.4 million (pre-June-1) $9.6 million (post-June-1)
he is only 26 but they need better production from their second and third edge rushers. it is another brutal loss and of course the games comes down to just several minute details, whether it be decision making, execution, the spot of the football, etc. McDermott had a lot of growth as a coach this year. However, he is not capable of beating Mahomes / Reid / Spags unless they really nail defensive personnel moving forward. Going to take some time away as this is just really draining emotionally given how badly we want this for the people in the organization and all the long-suffering fans.
Maybe Josh can take the minimum salary now he’s marrying a massive singer and we can build a super team
I am sure he will do some team friendly stuff moving forward. but cap space can only get you so far. need to hit on speed and disruptive defenders in the draft, period.
Reached the point where I'm not upset or angry after these games, just like a numb-ish sadness. And I really not even for myself, I truly feel for Josh. Because in general it's hard to feel bad for multi millionaire stars and what not, but fuck man he deserves one. It'd be one thing if he choked or played bad in these games, but he hasn't.
amazing block by Brown. Maybe him falling down to the right got in the way of Amari. and that's just an unreal hustle play by Karloftis (guessing that is him). Maybe it wouldn't have been as open if Shakir or Samuel were getting that pass. But that was so close to a significant gain. These games vs. KC always come down to the smallest details and that is another that went against Buffalo.
Have to wonder if they will try to obtain a difference maker on defense via trade, maybe sell the farm for 2026. Bills so badly need someone like Myles Garrett who can wreck a game on his own.
Does he just hate zone? Felt like he stayed in man and Andy worked him most of the night on the scheme side.
Minor plus, idk how good he was in coverage, but Bishop made a few great open field tackles in the playoffs. Obviously they brought him along slowly this year, but it'd be real nice to get a hit on that pick.
Well then it just seemed like that 47% was when stuff worked for KC. I hadn’t looked into the specifics, but it felt like a lot of man watching live. My b
I’ve watched an unhealthy amount of that final play. The crazy part is, if Torrance blocks his guy, Josh has time back there. And everyone was basically open
