I am a huge Busquets fan. He revolutionized the position. His vision and passing and defense were otherworldly, and he did it all with the grace of a baby giraffe lol. But even I have to finally admit that he is just washed. He is very bad now. Up until this year I'd still argue that his strengths and abilities still outweighed his negatives but that's just not the case. He's a liability now and makes way more mistakes than producing any positives or assisting in an attack. It's sad. It sucks. He was absolutely incredible at what he did. But like Xavi and Iniesta, his time is gone. That said, if he makes the rumored Miami FC move, he will still boss the MLS for another year or two.

Of the guys that look likely to leave this summer, I think Ferran will end up hurting the most. I also think adaptations to Messi coming back and playing centrally will hurt the lineup. Probably ends up pushing Gavi out to LW regularly which he is better in MF. I think ideally if Messi comes back we play a 4-2-3-1 that looks similar to this ---------Lewy------ Pedri----Messi----Dembele ----Gavi----Frenkie---- Balde---Andreas---Ronnie----Foyth With Frenkie dropping deeper and Gavi integrating into the press/being more forward. Kounde ideally needs to be in a 3 man CB rotation with AC and Ronnie and we need an actual RB.
