When people say 420.69 - 1000, they are no longer kidding. This is possibly (probably) the biggest short squeeze of all time
Nowhere near as impressive as GME, but AMC made a nice little run to end the day, up about 23% and still climbing.
So seriously.... Hertz was the last short squeeze. VW a huge one before that. They both went pretty much back to their normal trading prices in 30ish days... Seem kind wise to get some puts in Feb/Mar for like $20 and ride that momentum back down. Make money on both sides.
Gamestop $200 calls were only $1.68 today. Who got 'em? They closed at $19.00....that's when the stock price was at $148........ At this point the swings will most likely become more extreme as they try to liquidate people trading on margin both ways. Make sure you're not doing that unless you know what you're doing...
I saw it get to $243. I want to play with this flaming chainsaw so bad but haven’t yet and don’t think I will. At this point the big boys are in on this too IMO. A chance to take a ricochet shot at Point72 and Citadel and bury this Melvin kid? Child please. Bobby Axlerod dreams of this shit.
lol I thought of that show yesterday when I heard about Citadel/p72 stepping in. Reminded me of when those ex-employees started their own shop and then he fed them bad info and swooped in to save them but took a huge % of their future profits.
Anybody know where I can buy caviar and blow online? And a pair of fake tits to use as a plate for both?
I'd like to know how much he bought right before. He knows as well as anyone how much he can move a stock with a tweet.
This is everything not just GME. I’ve put about 12k of my own money into the acct. I’ve got another 40 shares of GME in my Roth that were bought at 97.
Post from August. Had to do a double-take today when I saw this: https://cms.zerohedge.com/s3/files/inline-images/Mevlin Capital Puts.jpg?itok=0yMb9CgX Their biggest short position by far was GSX. LOL I take back what I said...I think someone out there really hates Melvin Capital and wants to finish them.
So what’s the difference between a short squeeze and a gamma squeeze. I feel like I’ve seen these both mentioned in regards to GME.
I really would appreciate it if AMC and some of these others could hold these prices until at least 9:31 tomorrow AM.
Not exactly stock related but feel it fits best here. I opened up LinkedIn just now to clear a notification and the first post that popped up was from fucking A-Rod Corp announcing they were investing in a startup from a guy I went to college with - Archer Aviation. Pretty wild.
