I'm actually more interested in his pics for these cards than the big ones. Also, *jinx shield* these cards are usually a lot of fun with KO's.
I have 15 minutes until I leave work to pick up my kid. If I don't finish, I'll finish it around 5 when I get home. Ungrateful bastards picks of the week: Shore should ride this Phillips dude to a pretty quick finish. Don't pay attention to Phillips record, everybody he's beaten is in the middle of a pretty big losing streak. Shore's the biggest favorite on the card, not a fan of betting anything -780. Let's take him ITD for -180. If you wanna get crazy his 1st round line is +150. I did zero homework on Belbita/Jojua, neither will be significant from a DK perspective. In their last 12 combined fights, only 2 have went to decision. If I'm betting something there, I probably take the stab at the fight doesn't go the distance for plus money (+155). After digging in a bit more, Belbita should win this quite easily. Might be a nice play on DK actually due to lack of ownership if you're in a big GPP. Gordon vs Fishgold is weird and I've went back and forth on it. Gordon is chinny, has lost 3 of his last 4 by KO. So he's probably fighting for his career. The last guy we saw do that was a few cards ago with Marc Andre Barriault, and we got on him, and he finished the fight and lived to fight another day. Fishgold has had a tough road in the UFC, losing 2 of 3, but to Amirkhani and Calvin Kattar. No shame in that. I'll have to stew on this one a bit more as well, but I suspect we see a finish. Doesn't go the distance is -170, probably the right play. Edit: I'm in on Fishgold. I think he takes him down quite a few times and finishes him in the 1st or 2nd. Somebody's getting knocked out with Bukauskas and Michailidis, and the line has moved 62 points towards the dog since opening. So give me Michailidis ITD at +245. Ramos vs Murphy should be another fun one (it's a lot of no names tonight, but should actually be a really fun card. Lots of finishes.) Feeling like getting a little cheeky with quite a few dogs this week. As of right now I'm on Murphy, and I'd bet him straight up at +135. Chimaev is my biggest play of the week. Phillips either hits you with bombs or goes to sleep. I'm betting on the latter. Not much value in this other than betting Chimaev to finish him in the first, which is surprisingly only 115. Back to finish up the main slate, Alhassan missed weight, hasn't fought in two years because of legal issues, so I think all of that adds up to him finishing Lazzez early. McCann's line this week has been really weird. She opened -300 and the bottom fell out of it all the way down to -152. She's the meatball for a reason though, she will take you down and grind you out. Give me McCann, either a 3rd round TKO, but more likely by decision. Stamann is fighting off emotion after his little brother died unexpectedly right before his last fight. I think that carries over, a little bit of narrative street here, but I like him to continuously take down Rivera and control the fight. Stamann by decision. Elliott is a workhorse and so fun to watch. Just an unorthodox dude. He's lost his last 3 fights, but I think it's a serious step down in talent vs Benoit, who hasn't won 2 fights in a row since 2012. I think Dana likes Elliott and threw him a bone here. Elliott should be very active and wins a decision. Kattar vs Ige is tough for me. Cody Saftic took Ige, and I can't figure out why. People will point to Ige's 6 fight win streak, but only Barboza was a quality win, and 4 of those 6 were by decision, the last two razor thin split decisions. Kattar has stopped Fishgold, Lamas, and Jeremy Stephens, and lost a decision to Zabit in his last 4 fights. I'm holding pat with the big favorite here, I think he finishes Ige inside the distance (-135) maybe like the 4th round or so. Good luck! Let's keep it going.
FYI, I updated the post above to include the main card. Get those lineups and bets in, less than an hour!
That was about as straightforward as a win you can get. Liked Shore’s proactive grappling a whole lot
I only put in a few bucks this time. No clue and just followed my buddy’s lineup. My bad if I posted too many of screenshots on Saturday.
Fuuuuuuuck.. I bet on this next dude thinking he was part of the Chechnyan warlord crew. Fucking guy is from Sweden.
lol I got this dude by submission, was hoping the dude would just tap at the first sign of something getting in.
Outside of Fishhook looking like shit, and my man falling out of the cage, this has went as expected so far.
