Quite the quick turnaround for Burns after fighting Masvidal a month ago.

3rd fight this year.

 

I have no clue how any top level fighter is still training with Henry Hooft.

 

Burns is up to +472. I'm a sucker.

 

He came in hurt somehow and he doesn't have it tonight.

Taking this level of a fight so soon after Masvidal was a mistake. Vegas is going to crush it on this fight.

I'm not a boo'er, but that was boring af. We know why, but they don't. I don't think they think they could do it. They just paid for a fight and got a snoozefest so they weren't happy.

And fwiw the “big bet alerts” I’ve seen on screen are now 0-3 tonight. Nothing worse than seeing your bet flashed on the screen

 

Maybe when I was 18. But now I watch two guys step in there to sacrifice their health (both short term and long term) for our entertainment and it seems ridiculous to boo. Shit is taking years off of their life and you're not entertained enough so you boo? Nah.

I get what you're saying. I don't think I've ever boo'd at anything but I'm not surprised a crowd would boo after that.

 

I remember an interview Cerrone did where he talked about nights where you're on vs off. On night he was on, everything felt slow motion and everything just clicked. On off nights he couldn't figure out what was going on.

In the NBA, you get 82+ nights a year. MLB 140+ (assuming days off).

Fighting you get 3 a year. I just can't imagine training for months and then stepping out there and feeling lost. 1/3 of your yearly production is gone. Just a crazy life that is insanely high stakes.

 

it's even worse because you can get hurt and take literal years off your career or even your life. they have to be nuts to not throw in the towel when they have no chance

Aljo. Henry is king douche bag who is cringe worthy in everything he does. He tried to lean into it as the "King of Cringe" but he's awful.

 

Cejudo is a huge chud if that helps you

 

Aljo only has about 3.9 rounds in him. If this goes to 5 it's going to be problematic for him.
