My wife and I’s anniversary is April 14th and we had reservations there. Considering just doing take out.
Publix has been a nightmare and it's primarily thanks to the same assholes who hoard everything when it's a hurricane watch.
Went this morning when they opened to get some produce and meats...line of 40+, parking lot completely full before 5 min before opening. They all ran straight for the paper products, nobody had actual food in their carts. By the time I checked out, parking lot was 1/4 full
Yeah, it's been terrible. I've been trying to go when they open in hopes they've restocked shit we need. Have been mostly fortunate. The types of meats available have been hit or miss. Ribeyes and flank steak for days though. The toilet paper thing blows my mind. I think it's funny that frozen pizzas are completely wiped, but all the ingredients to make your own pizza (which we do all the time) are readily available.
I’m in central Florida, no meat at Publix hardly at all but frozen food for days, veggies have been intermittently wiped as well. I have only been once in the last week because I’m trying to steer clear right now but have heard the same from friends that have been over the last few days.
Tampa and Hillsborough County really had a chance to stay ahead of this and not turn into Broward and Dade if they just sucked it up and did what was needed for a few weeks.
Castor apparently wants it but doesn’t have county approval. Can she do it inside Tampa? I guess people in the county not in Tampa wouldn’t be under it? Not sure how that works but castor seems to want to implement it.
University of Tampa tweeted out Saturday that 5 students tested positive after spring break (March 9-13) with zero additional info, have to figure the actual number infected is way higher at this point.
Other county officials vetoed the stay at home order because we need to make sure “we get it right.” Then follows that up with nothing. Big business lobbying hard to keep everything open. We’ll have to have a sharp increase in cases for them to shut anything down.
Can't tell if this epidemic is making a hard case for more or less government oversight. Both sides appear equally inept.
Don’t worry guys those state parks are closed. The hordes of people overrunning state hiking trails has been solved. Beaches open for business though!
Desantis going to follow trumps lead now and slow down testing to make things look better? He better not.
https://www.unacast.com/covid19/social-distancing-scoreboard Site is really disturbing with regard to personal info but Hillsborough, Pinellas, and even Polk(!!!!!!!!) Counties got B's
PInellas apparently ordered stay at home? I think it's going to pass in Hillsborough. Our firm just sent an email saying they're hearing there likely will be a stay at home order effective Friday at 10pm. Orlando one apparently exempted law firms.
The orders are strange in that there’s no consistency across municipalities into what’s deemed essential and what’s not.
nope. Hillsborough’s order is not a stay at home. It’s a bizarre “we want you to stay home but don’t have the balls to actually force you to do it” order. Lots of loopholes. Better than nothing i suppose.
And $30 a month for that subscription...it’s funny the commercial says, for only 56 a month you can own this bike....not a thing about the subscription. Fuck that.
Wrong. $56 a month is the price for the bike and subscription when financed interest-free over 36 months.
After the 36 months, you still have to pay the $39 subscription fee. But that’s per bike, not user. That means my wife and I share a $39 cost for unlimited instruction in cycling, strength, running, yoga, stretching and more.
This is from today. Hopefully this public, national embarrassment for the Tampa Bay Area for the 2nd time in 2 weeks creates more action. Also hopefully no one there had it because that could mean thousands of additional victims in the area over time. They say thousands of South Korea’s virus victims were from one patient at a church.
That terrible. The 2 mile ride I have to make in the bike lane from my house to the paved upper tampa bay trail is always a little unnerving.
I used to love driving on Bayshore but I avoid it now if I can due to all the cross walks and people. Surprised more people don’t get hit.
