    No, I like the interactions between the instructor and in-studio riders. Not having anyone in studio though shows how talented the instructors are that they can do what they do without any energy to feed off of.

    You guys are sleeping on the bike bootcamp workouts. They kick your ass. I consider myself to be in decent shape and I am sore from the one I took yesterday. Almost don’t want to workout today.

    They need more them pronto. Only one that isn't beginner level.

    I did jess simms 60 min one from last Saturday but subbed bike for tread. I almost passed out in the last session. Was a seven minute every minute on the minute to finish.

    I need a 60 bootcamp in my life. The arms and intervals are cool but using heavy weights makes it dreadful.

    Need to stop pushing for a PR most of the times I ride. I just get too competitive on the bike and always end up trying to kill myself on it. I almost look at it more of a sense of obligation / pain then actually enjoying it and having fun. Probably need to start mixing in more Low Impact rides where I don't feel like I need to sit a PR every time.

    This is true, but low impact rides aren’t necessarily easy. It just means you aren’t out of the saddle. There are still some pushes.

    Not sure how often you ride but recovery rides are to mix in if you're working out every day or close to it.

    Adding on to this, you'll likely get higher PRs if you can mix in some lower-intensity stuff like this. Your body needs a chance to rest on occasion.

    About ten minutes in I already was sweating like someone had poured a bucket of water on my head. Those 20/20 intervals followed up immediately by lifting sets are no joke.

    I love the bootcamp workouts. Gonna do my first resistance band workout today and hopefully get a shout out for my 1350 ride. Also CTownND to add to the need for recovery rides others mentioned, stretching and foam rolling are really important.

    I've been really really trying to incorporate more running into my regimen. However, the bottom right portion of my knee, about one inch to the right and beneath the cap, starts hurting quite a lot about 2-3 days after I run. When I touch the bone there it almost feels bruised.

    I tried changing shoes which helped during the run, a lot. But, the residual pain still arrives afterwards.

    Any ideas? I really want to run. I enjoy it more than any of this other stuff I am doing with Peloton.

    I've gotten into the cadence of going two days on, one day off, so nothing too crazy. Probably do 4 bike rides a week and 1 "other" workout if I don't have work or life stuff interfering.

    My problem is I typically let myself go all out for day one, then tell myself day two I'll do an easier ride, then half way through that ride I'll start going all out again. Then I'll be pretty sore in the off day and repeat again. So I think I just need to mix in more easier rides on that second day and tell myself recovery rides are fine.

    Sounds like patella tendinitis. Need to strengthen and stretch quad muscles. They made bands for the knee that my help as well. It’s a bitch, I’ve had issues with it off and on since middle school.

    both are great I think the first one is little bit tougher. The one from 9/15 but both are difficult.

    Our Bike+ is being delivered two weeks from tomorrow. I’ll report back. We went and saw it in the showroom just to make sure we still wanted to upgrade. I came away impressed. The changes aren’t earth shattering, but they’re thoughtful and useful IMO.

    This is probably a dumb question, and relative to a person’s own strength, but what amount of weight (dumbbells) would you guys recommend for the bootcamps? I don’t own any other than the peloton ones, and don’t want to buy a whole set. I was imagining between 10lb - 30ish? Appreciate the help.

    i follow what the instructor suggests. For strength I haven’t had to use heavier than 40s. For bike boot camps it’s been 15 and 20s. On the bike for arms I usually use 10s.

    Yeah at the beginning of strength classes they’ll give you suggestions on what weight to use. Usually what they suggest is spot on because of how they structure the class. Lack of rest in between reps and exercises make the weights heavier than they are. You don’t want to grab 40lb dumbbells when they call for 15.

    Are you doing the $700 trade in? I’m signed up to do the trade in but the wife has several friends potentially interested in buying ours at a discounted cost from new. We bought it in December 2017 so it’s a couple years old now and has been used regularly. Our Bike+ is scheduled for delivery on 10/21 and I assume I can just cancel the trade in.

    Did my 3rd bike bootcamp workouts and IDK if it was the 15 minute HIIT class I took before but was one of the toughest I’ve taken. I love them but boy are they tough.

    Which one? Jess simms ending hers with every minute on the minute is tough as shit but I felt better today after I had a 95% recovery on my whoop last night.

    the new Jess Sims 30 minute full body one. I did a 15 minute Emma HIIT class right before it so it made it extra spicy.

    No, we just recently purchased the original bike. We took delivery right after the announcement of the Bike+, so we’re able to return ours for full value.

    Having had the original for almost three years, I think you’ll appreciate the upgrades on the Bike+.

    I'm in it from my very slow running, but that reminds me I need to link Strava and every other app I've ever logged into because apparently they ALL WORK WITH THE PELOTON.

    First downside I've found so far is the inability to do all of this through the app.
