I got too many kids (all girls) and an expensive wife.
Logitech MX Keys
Samsung all day.
new higher magnification loupes came in and they ARE NOT so i can see my penis!
Has there been a mask discussion yet? Since this thing is gonna be around awhile, I'm looking for a good, comfortable mask.
It’s already been around a while buddy
Is it so you can see other people’s penis?
Look out, clitorises
Baron After typing on a mechanical keyboard for the last decade, i couldn’t type on anything else and highly recommend it. I have a maxkeyboard nighthawk with MX Cherry browns and a Razer Blackwidow elite with their green switches. The razer greens have more clack than the browns and slightly more travel distance. I have gamed considerably with both and would recommend both. I also have typed considerably with both and enjoy each. The razer has a usb pass through which is super handy for plugging thumb drives into the side of.
If you don’t want a num pad, definitely include tenkeyless in your search functions and head over to pcpartpicker and look around.
Never been to that site before. Is there an easy way to see which keyboards are highly rated at a certain price point?
I think I figured it out. So this site basically just searches other sites for the best price?
Ducky Shine Cherry MX Silent Reds. I have Mecha Mini with the same switches but I figured out I use the numpad way too much to lose that. Going to a membrane keyboard after mechanical is like swimming in socks.
I have always wanted a Ducky Shine. I heard the newer boards aren’t as high quality though so I’ll probably have to look second hand. I’ve heard mixed things on mx silent reds. I looked at a few Corsair boards with that key set but never pulled the trigger.
If I wasn’t married with kids, my board collection would begin to overtake my shoe collection. I haven’t allowed my addiction to take hold which is probably why I don’t look at that subreddit as often as I used to.
We talking about a keyboard subreddit
5860 members, never heard of it before in my life. Work(ed) with IT geeks for 20 years.
Not very cool ones then apparently.
i really like my kira with gateron yellow switches
It has over 750k
No judging from me. Is this a gaming thing or will it make my tps reports more pleasurable?
Mechanical keyboards genuinely feel better to type on, IMO. Also some of the switches have a very audible click when you press a key. If you’re a fast typist it’s kinda fun to clack them keys.
For me it’s both. I actually type a bit faster on a mechanical keyboard as well.
I’m more accurate with a mechanical. Considering the time I spend coding and document writing it’s nice when I’m home and get to use a decent keyboard.
I'm too cheap to get a good mechanical keyboard. What can I get for under $100 that's worth a damn?
Well, duh. You need something w much bigger magnification for that
If I had a mechanical keyboard my neighbors would probably complain about the furious typing sounds.
I type very fast and my BMI is high because I lift weights
A good mechanical tenkeyless keyboard especially with Black Friday near.
What can I consider "good?"
Corsair K63 Compact Mechanical Gaming Keyboard - Backlit Red LET - Linear & Quiet - Cherry MX Red
Corsair is pretty good plus if you end up not liking it, Amazon’s return policy is awesome.
there’s also a RedDragon 552 which is the ultimate cheap and introductory mechanical keyboard for like $40 but Corsair is a more trusted brand.
then get cool keycaps
Peloton arrives next week. Figured I'm gonna need this.
how likely is it one accidentally hurts themselves with one of these
just don’t place the movable end in your b hole
wait... I've been doing it wrong?
What’s the go to mesh WiFi system? Thought I had a good router to handle the 19 or so devices I have but it’s been so inconsistent with speeds. If I do the Speedtest through my Bert gear router app it get 250+ but when I go straight to Speedtest on my phone I get 10-15 then everyonce in a while it will some to 70s. Seems like o should be getting better than that.
I love Nest Wifi. Super easy to setup, super easy to connect to and share passwords, and super fast and reliable.
My wife’s peloton delivery date has been pushed back three times.
Just a heads up if this is your first scheduled delivery.
Eero has been nothing but great for me and the dozen or so friends who bought it off my rec. that said, any of the major brands should be fine.
As for why I recommend eero, I had an issue with a beacon and called customer service. They fixed it remotely and the tech gave me his direct email address to contact him directly with any future issues. I did and emailed him and he sent me a replacement with next day shipping.
I just bought a nest system and set it up. Set up was super easy. Still early, but it seems like my buffering issues are solved.
Do you previously rent your modem/router from your ISP? Did you have to change out any of their equipment?
no, I had a arris modem and Asus router. I just disconnected the old router and set up the new mesh system.
Google and Netgear Orbi are easy and fast. I went with a Linksys Velop because it covers a huge area.
Y'all were no help, but Wired had a good article about masks.
