Nah, can't put TC stamp of approval on Limp Bizkit and Creed anymore at age 35. "Mic check / so what's it all about? / Where we gonna run? / Maybe we can meet up on the sun!"
I've spent plenty of time with Creed in the day. I know most of their riffs on guitar. I've also set the words of the Carolinian Creed (SCAR honor code thingy) to the music of a Creed song before
People talk about the liberal socialists loving the environment but if they did why would they try to replace my manly natural grass with artificial turf? Why do liberal socialists suddenly not care about the environment when they are trying to ruin our football fields?
Creed is like Nickelback in that they are pretty lame, but they dont really deserve the mass hate they've gotten
When you come to the sad conclusion that your rival has indeed made your fanbase's ass quit Change of Pace: How to bring competition [back] to college football (long) Spoiler Discussion in 'Fighting Gamecocks Forum' started by Spurrierisking, Yesterday at 1:46 PM. Unwatch Thread Post New Thread SpurrieriskingMember Joined: Mar 17, 2006 Messages: 46 Likes Received: 58 Before you read and respond, know that I know that what I'm about to propose is not really what I think should be done nor do I think it would ever happen. I was just an idea I had during the UF game about how to bring more competition to the modern college football landscape. Now for the proposal... I'd think we'd all agree that in any given year, only about 10ish or so teams have a LEGITIMATE shot at winning the national championship. And I'd like to thing we'd all agree that overall, that is bad for the game. When a high percentage of teams and fan bases know they have no opportunity to achieve the games highest goal, there is a problem. This means that while yes, you may get some big wins (like UGA), they ultimately mean nothing in the short term. What if there were a system in place that made the game more balanced, fan bases more engaged and in the seats, and a feeling that winning a championship could actually be done. Let me introduce you to the Star Limit System. Recruiting currently is a harsh world. Top teams have a built in advantage year after year which is why we see the same teams competing for titles each season. But what if each team in Power 5 had a certain amount of stars to "spend" on players and there were penalties for going over that limit. For example, using the Rivals ratings, let's say each team has 25 stars to spend. If you sign a 5 star player to that years recruiting class, you are now down to 20 stars remaining. If you signed a 3 star prospect, you now have 17 remaining, etc. The idea is that it would force coaches to look for the 2/3 star guys they can develop and get better value instead of just hording after 5 star prospects (part of this idea came from the thread about how many 5 star players on on UGA compared to USC). To be balanced, this would only apply to Power 5 teams for two reasons. One, rarely do the TOP players go to non Power 5 schools, and two, year in and year out non Power 5 schools have zero shot at the National Championship (I know there are special cases but it just isn't going to happen...sorry UCF). If you are going to have a system with limits, there needs to be deterrent from breaking the system. In the Star Limit System, if you went over your allotted amount of stars, you would be deducted that same amount the next recruiting cycle. Again, I'm not arguing that this needs to be done nor do I think anything like this would ever pass. There are also flaws (some glaring..like the transfer portal rule) but it is an interesting thought experiment to bring more diversity in terms of competition to big time college football nonetheless.
That would just put 247 sports on bama/uga/clemsom payroll and fix nothing .T bama bumps would just go backwards. After reviewing the tape of Mr. Bryce young it is obvious that he is a 2 star player and is reflected in our updated rankings. We have bumped Nebraska white running back up to a solid 5 star.
It's also quite likely a politically conservative person suggesting a system that amounts to "socialism" of recruiting
What if we also took all the money generated by all power 5 schools and pooled it together and then have everyone equal amounts
With my star tax on teams recruiting in top 1% of the top 1%, every team in America can go to a bowl.
Spoiler DeepfriedCockMember If you want parody lower the number of Scholarships players to 65. luvmygamecocksMember Agree on scholly limits. All you have to look at is College Baseball when scholarship limits were reduced. Suddenly Texas, Arizona State and Southern Cal were no longer dominant. Limits would definitely prevent certain teams from signing three 5*’s at the same position. gcock5Active Member NFL roster is 53, that’s were I’d start. QuispWell-Known Member What sport have you been watching. It is broke. I've already lost interest in the CFB "playoff chase". I already know the pool is 6-7 teams. Best players go to the best teams over and over and over and over again. If the NFL was like the CFB the Patriots would pick 1st every year and have an unlimited salary cap. At least the poster is addressing the problem.
Definitely needs an inverse distribution. Worst team this year gets 50 starryboiz and on down to where the champ gets 12 starryboiz.
What could also work is the NCAA handicapping. Either ATS or just a straight points spot to start the game.
I like how the dejected Cock posters of that site are more optimistic about their financial upward mobility than college football when in reality they are 100% more likely to make the CFB playoff than ever becoming the billionaires that taught them to shit on socialism.
Look, basically a system just ain't fair what has Clemson winning all the time. If you have alternatives to that I'm all ears.

First thing you do is put a $57,000 limit on head coaches salary. Next you need to let the school recruit the players. The players then democratically vote in their coach for a four-year term. In the event a coach is voted to multiple posts for a term, priority goes to the team with the highest cumulative gpa for the preceding semester. All time QBs come to mind as well. Each matchup will be randomly assigned a pool QB who will play all offensive snaps for both teams. Be careful blitzing!
Like half of our fan base doesn’t watch any other football than Nebraska games. Guy still thinks Oregon runs the same offense as Frost
Miss St fan last night is reason no beer should be sold at games CCUIrmoMember Joined: Jul 15, 2010 Messages: 827 Likes Received: 768 I was at the game with my daughter last night and by the time the game was over I was about to come to blows with this guy. He was obnoxious from the get go and his cheers were less about cheering his team and more about mocking Carolina fans. Finally in the third quarter I turned and looked at him and told him to chill out and he proceeded to talk back at me and say he had every right to cheer because we were 10 pt favorites to win the game and didnt look like it. I rolled my eyes and turned back around. I then hear the gentleman right behind me (the Miss st fan was 2 rows back) ask him to stop yelling in his ears. This guy and his wife were in their mid to upper 70's. This Miss st fan started yelling back and saying that he had to put up with all of our fans cheering for 3 quarters and we could all get over him pulling for his team. He had been yelling all game so it was not just 4th quarter, and he clearly didnt think about the fact he was in Columbia so of course we were going to cheer for Carolina. Finally the game ended and he was still talking so I just turned and clapped my hands while looking at him. He then told me again that we were 10 pt favorites and didnt look like it. I told him I didnt care, we still won. This is where it got out of hand. He then said "F--- you and your f---ing wife." I told him that was not my wife it was my daughter (beer goggles clealry to think my daughter was my wife)and he needed to be careful. He then said "Then f--- you and f--- your f---ing daughter." I was ticked now and told him he needs to be very careful at this point. (Mind you my daughter was ignoring him and just cheering which ultimately is what I should have just done). He then told me after that again "F-- you, you mother f---er. You better watch your back". My daughter then turned and heard that and grabbed my arm and said just leave and it wasnt worth it. The older gentleman then looked at me and said that guy was an absolute moron which he was. My daughter did see the man get a beer three diff times during the game so I am not sure if they have limits or not but games like last night are why alcohol sales could cause problems. Now to all Miss St fans, I know he does not represent all of you so no feelings in any way about Miss St because of him. There are carolina fans like that as well but this guy ranks right up there with a lady I saw at a Duke Nc State football game back in early 2000's as most obnoxious I have ever witnessed at a game of any kind.

Memphis v Ark St announcers blathering their wokeness while game going on. ram1961 2020-09-05 20:23:09 you want to get back at them you do it this way.... 14bama 2020-09-05 21:00:33 and they are counting on no one doing this .... take note of their sponsors and then come Tuesday call those folks up and let them know you will no longer be buying their products till ESPN quits all their wokeness. If a couple of thousand people call them - and that is all it would take - then those companies will get the message to ESPN and it will stop because they know that if a couple of thousand are thinking that way and call, then there are literally thousands more who feel the same way.. So far I have noticed All State Insurance, Verizon, Bass Pro Shop/Cabela's, Discover Card, Chex Mix, IHop, USA today Insurance, Ensure, Advance Auto Parts, Little Ceasar's, Hanes Underwear, etc
