Im a service industry influencer actually. I film myself having fun at Smoothie King all day to trick teens into taking table scraps to make sure bombs.
It’s not the highest quality but if Tobias just wants something he can set out side and forget about it works. I would get a cover for it though to extend the life
This drives me fucking insane. In certain circumstances I get it, but when there is a driveway, use the fucking driveway.
appreciate the input i am still researching and pondering think this looks interesting edit: idk how to link amazon i guess maybe i should not allowed to operate any fire
Never used a propane fire pit but I’d think it would be more aesthetic than put off significant heat? Edit: I’ve seen them but only really warm if you were right up on them
Those shitty Chinese brands are a pain in the ass to put together. A few years back my SIL bought one of the taller kinds with the glass tubes. Instructions sucked ass and we had to look up multiple images from different websites and customer pics to get it together. Finally got it set up and light it and the ignition was fucked up and blew black smoke. The glass tube got smoked out and couldn’t be cleaned
There was a place near me that was going out of business and had a 48” diameter one of these and we got it for cheap. https://www.firepitart.com/asia36/ We love it. solo stoves aren’t the best for pushing heat out the sides because they’re so well insulated. It gets cold as shit up here and I like building fires in the middle of the winter, so this open type of design was the best for us.
I was in Columbia, MO last weekend for the Auburn game. My cousin lives there and one of their kids’ favorite restaurant is named Jose Jalepenos. That’s the most Midwestern named Mexican restaurant name out there.
He may not remember this, but one time DayDomination, his wife, BIGASSTITTIES, Daddy Rabbit and I drank beers at the Gold Rush in Nashville.
Friend posted this on Facebook today: when did it become the new norm for delivery trucks to just park smack dab in the middle of a main road? they just hop out cross the street like a game of frogger talking about “don’t mind me” w a flow of traffic both ways. dumb
the answer is 2020, when we all found out there were no consequences for being an asshole and that people are trash. the same as every other thing where entitled bullshit increased
Prob has something to do with the advent of the free lance delivery drivers who rent a van or box truck for the day and are paid by amazing per package delivered time is money
A job being thankless doesn’t give the workers a free pass to risk public safety. Looking at you food delivery people who love speeding down sidewalks on bikes, people in the way be damned.
The problem is the infrastructure. There's a two lane road I have to go down and the mail truck is often delivering when I leave work. They're halfway out in the road coming up to a blind curve. It's not ideal but there's nothing anyone can really do about it either. It's also got tight turning radius driveways to go along with it being a busy road that's hard to get back onto so you see delivery drivers stop on the side of the road as well.
the country lacks a workable enforcement model to punish the party actually responsible for this practice, Amazon
I’m not sure what sarcasm I’m missing here, but you’re touching on another way in which Amazon/delivery companies externalize costs to other parties
Most localities have zoning ordinances that require businesses and residences to set aside a certain amount of square footage/parking spaces based on size/usage so as not to burden public streets. Amazon operates a business that inherently requires use of that space, and they don’t pay for any of it. They don’t use commercial loading docks and they don’t pull into driveways, and often they don’t even use public curb space - they completely externalize this part of the cost of their operation on the public. And moreso than other delivery companies, they don’t even bother to optimize their deliveries by drop offs because it’s a cost they don’t have to consider. but yeah, maybe it would be a great idea if, instead of forcing Amazon to price in finding legitimate parking for their operations, the county just seized a shitload of private property or took away space on public roads to build another lane of roadway for parking.
used to go snow camping with some guys from work, one of them would bring a drum out of a washing machine for the fire pit, it worked incredibly well
