Remove the scene of Sam (apparently) being shot, and that probably should have been the series finale of Supernatural.
Anyone else watching Cleverman on the Sundance channel? Just checked out the first two episodes on Dishanywhere.com and it's pretty interesting.
Has anyone watched The Girlfriend Experience? Show that premiered a couple months back on Starz, all the episodes were dumped on demand then though. I hadn't gotten around to it until tonight. Already three in and about to start the fourth. About a chick who becomes a high end escort. Very bingeable, would recommend.
Recently started Happy-ish and Limitless on Netflix. Anybody watch either of these two shows? I am loving tf out of both. Happy-ish because it's actually really good and Limitless as more of a guilty pleasure
Idk, I saw it back in the day but I'm bad about not really remembering the plots to movies I watched and I don't want to look it up now for fear of spoiling the tv show. But yeah it's based on the same premise/idea; a drug you can take that lets you use your brain to its fullest capacity
If anybody wants a good dark comedy to watch, a Canadian based series called Less Than Kind is pretty good. I think all of the episodes are on Youtube. Watched it a few years ago and just started a re-watch. Well written with a good cast.
Hadn't watched it but Girlboss canceled after only one season at Netflix. Looks like Reed Hastings wasn't joking around when he said he was going to start canceling shows, think this is the third one this summer that has gotten the axe. Hopefully, they don't fall into the same trap as the TC networks with canceling shows too early.
Premiere of Room 104 on HBO was interesting. Friend at work recommended it to me. Anthology show with new/different characters in each episode. Like Black Mirror.
Just started The Magicians on the recommendation of my roommate. 3 episodes in and I'm still not entirely sure what the hell is going on. But like most all shows I'll give it the first season to hook me.
Still slowly working my way through the first season and it turned quite a bit darker than I was expecting. But I am in love with one of the characters. I know I'm not special in this but I have a thing for nerdy blondes. Spoilered for size. Spoiler
Started watching White Famous. Some funny lines in that. You have problems with the police, we have problems with airport security.
Not sure if anyone watched The Dana Carvey Show when they were younger but hulu did a documentary on it called Too Funny to Fail. I recommend watching it. Has Carell, Colbert, Carvey, Smigel, and a bunch of others. No CK though for some reason. The talent level on that show was nuts.
Just finished watching Freak & Geeks for the second time (I don’t really remember my first time watching it). It really is criminal that this show was canceled after 18 eps. That final episode has damn near everything and leaves so many questions unanswered.
That episode where she goes to the family dentist party and wears that dress. Honestly, the majority of the cast has aged pretty well. It still makes me scratch my brain that a network like NBC would fumble the ball on a tv series like this. But then again, FOX/FX did the same thing with shows like Firefly & Terriers.
has anyone watched 'travelers?' watched the first season on netflix last year and really like it. second season just dropped a week or so ago
it's a sci fi time travel bit, but i'm not really sure any comparison would work. only a person's consciousness is sent back through time (as opposed to mind and body collectively) which then effectively overrides the mind of the person whose body they're sent to inhabit. so in addition to carrying out their mission, they also have to maintain their cover by dealing with the previous person's life obligations. it's an interesting dynamic and worth checking out
