He went peacefully in his favorite spot this morning. He was a damn good dawg.
Dammit man- sorry to read this.
Sorry bud. He was a good dog.
I'm sorry, dbl
May fond memories of your beloved Bear warm your heart always
Looks like a great dog and a very good boy
So sorry, man
The End of An Era
Sorry man, gotta remember the good stuff.
Damn. Losing a dog is one of the worst things. So sorry to hear that.
Damn man. So sorry.
Sorry dbl. fucking sucks man
Sorry to hear that man, worst part of being an animal lover. But would never stop loving a pet.
All dogs go to heaven

Sucks man. Lost my pupper about 2 months ago. It's rough. It'll eventually get easier
So sorry bro
Sorry to hear that dbl
So sorry man. That really really sucks.
damn dbl sorry man. glad he was able to pass in his spot
Sorry to hear that. Losing a dog is one of the hardest things. At least you had many great years of memories to fall back on. Rip bear
RIP Bear! Seems like only yesterday when you got him.
Man, really sorry to hear that
Same. I feared we'd have to make that decision one day but he made it easy on us. Woke me up at 3am barking and trying to push me off the bed. Thought he was just being an asshole so I went back to sleep. Woke up at 7:30 and he wasn't in bed, which never happens. Found him in Gracie's room. He couldn't stand up. Took him outside but again couldnt stand up. Put him on the couch in his normal spot opposite my side. Called vet and made arrangements to meet them in an hour. Got in the shower and got out to find he'd somehow managed to move to the other end of the couch, in my spot, his favorite spot. He'd become lethargic and his inner lips were white. I knew the deal. Hugged and loved on him and he went peacefully in my arms. Just brutal but he went where he wanted to go. Spent an entire lifetime being an asshole to anyone but me and in the end he did one last thing for me by not making me make the decision. Damn I loved that dog.
11 years man. Just prior to this board being made. Doesn't seem that long.
Sorry brother, I lurked long enough before posting to see how great of a dog he was and how much he meant to you. I’ll pour one out for him today.
Wow! Longer than I thought. My dog Bama died at 11 as well. Sucks so bad
June 2, 2008 is when he was born. We got him in early August.
How old was he?
Edit: nvm see it now
Best way to go, the family dog is now 15 years old. We know what’s coming but I will cry like a baby when he passes
He turned 11 back in June. 11 is ancient for English bulldogs so we had a good run.
Got a little dusty in here reading this. RIP
Daughter stayed at my mom's last night. He favorite thing in life is feeding him. When we get home in the afternoon, she runs in saying "B B B" bc she can't say Bear. She used to call him Bubba but she started using B in the last couple weeks. She immediately goes to his food tub and get a scoop, spills half of it on the way to his bowl, feeds him, then goes to him on the couch and pets him and kisses him. It's going to break by heart when she comes home today. She's not even 2 so she'll move quick, hopefully. He was always so gentle with her. She could grab ears and lips and he'd just give her big ole sloppy kisses and she'd die laughing.
Man we don’t deserve dogs. Very sad to hear this dbl.
Sorry to hear about your loss.
Man. I remember when you got him, as we all do. Sorry for your loss, Dbl.
Sport to hear that dblplay1212
Damn man I hate to hear that. Losing your sidekick dogs is always the worst
Enjoyed the pictures and stories you’ve shared of him over the years. You gave him a great life. Sorry for your loss
More than dusty at the moment. Bless her little heart. I’m not religious but I have to say you’re family is in all of our thoughts and condolences to you.
Thoughts with you and the family, Dbl.
Bear had a pretty damn good run. He never saw Tennessee beat Alabama in football and got to witness 5 Bama national championships. He did his part.
