Yeah, she’s fine with the lab grown. We went and looked at some together and she had no issues with that part.
The main diamond will be Marquise. As far as the cut, color, etc. I’ll know more later today and report back. We went together last weekend just to start the process, so I’d know mostly the look she was going for. Didn’t get into any specific details yet. I’ll be going back tonight on my own so I can start getting into some of the specifics.
That’s the range this one was in. I compared it with a couple places online (based on size only since I don’t have the other info yet) and those were like $4K so this was almost alarming at the difference not that I’m complaining. Might increase the size a little bit since I had a dollar amount a lot bigger in my head.
My wife’s band was way, way more expensive than I’d budgeted. Wouldn’t recommend. Mine was the thinnest possible yellow gold ring available. I open pry top bottles with it which is cool as shit.
Our average engagement ring sale is 7000 and would say our average women’s band sale is 1300. Pre COVID I would say that figure was more around 6. also I think this is pretty close to the national average. We are not special.
My white gold one was between $400-$500. I now never wear it and wear a silicone band that was like $20 all the time.
My generation got swindled on this whole natural diamond business. Wtf. They couldn't have had this lab grown breakthrough a decade earlier?
I've had 4-5 wedding bands. Bought a "nice" tungsten one first then the next ones after I lost them I just buy $15 ones in Amazon
I asked the bff if she cared about lab grown vs natural and she couldn’t care less. And she doesn’t want a big wedding. Worth staying with for financial reasons alone.
I mean I didn’t come at her with an ultimatum or anything. I just asked if she has an opinion on natural diamonds vs lab grown. And she asked what that was
I wore a $17 King Will tungsten ring for the first three years of my marriage. Still the most comfortable ring I own. King Will Basic 6mm 7mm 8mm 9mm 10mm Men Wedding Black/Silver Tungsten Ring Matte Finish Beveled Polished Edge Comfort Fit https://a.co/d/2Dzh0Kn
I bought a nice ring. I only wear my wedding ring a few times a year. My job isn't conducive to wearing a ring and I've never gotten used to it.
I have a Damascus steel ring. I was about 25 lbs heavier when I got married. I wear it for date night or special occasions but it doesn’t fit really anymore. Groove silicon ring for me 90 percent is the time.
been married 2+ years and still have not purchased a ring. waiting on lab grown gold to really take off.
My original was maybe $15 from Amazon. Wore that for 5 years or so. Went rubber but it broke and I just haven't gotten a new one. Been getting hit on so much not wearing a ring. Spoiler
How about this devine made with real dinosaur bone. Your wife won't turn down a "bone" if you got that bad boy on amirite? https://manlybands.com/collections/rare-unique-materials/products/the-jurassic
