Only because both of them didn’t go home. Would have been complete bullshit for Lindsay to go home like that after being 1 of 2 people in the challenge.
yeah that was the perfect thing for jonathan but fucked lindsay. i dont think they expected everyone to sit out
At this point Maryanne and Romeo have 0 chance at winning. I think Johnathan would need to make some major strategic plays to have a chance, and I'm not sure he's capable of doing that. I think Omar will get himself voted out within the next week or two as the others discover he's been pulling strings and is a major threat. Whomever is left standing from Mike/Lindsey will win IMO unless Johnathan, Maryanne, and Romeo band together and get both of them out, in which case Johnathan I guess takes it.
The problem is that by not gunning for Omar, she left an opening for Mary Anne to make the biggest move of the season. Being on the wrong side of that moment is a massive blow to her survivor resume or whatever you want to call it. If she goes to the end with Jonathan, the argument is easy. Just say something along the lines of "I held my own against Jonathan in challenges but I was the better strategic player." The biggest threat to her now is Mary Anne. Also Mike is very likable and a bigger threat than Jonathan.
She wasn’t wrong to try and get Jonathan out. Her mistake was keeping her idol in her pocket under the mistaken assumption it wouldn’t get put back into the game if she held it. That’s completely false.
I dont think it was a bad play by Lindsey to hold onto her idol, especially considering it would have been to save Omar. Omar was easily the biggest threat to win it all if he made it to the end and saving him hurts her. I will never understand Survivor players target challenge beasts that have a bad/not good social game. Johnathan has been a challenge beast but has not shown a strong social game, even if he somehow goes on a challenge winning streak hes not winning. I am not sure this one move vaults Maryann to the top, I still think people see Mike and Lindsey as the front runners to this point. Its hilarious that Romeo is still a potential target given the fact he would never win.
Yeah I dont think Lindsay is too upset that Omar is gone. I also dont think Johnathan is too much of a threat to get votes at the final. This is between Lindsay, Maryanne and Michael imo And Maryanne has an idol no one knows about
This season's cast is soooo good. All the dumb shit they did last season is barely as annoying because this cast is so smart and plays so well. Survivor is the best
One this is certain, no bitter jury. These guys seem to love the game for the game and will vote for the best player.
The reactions to the last two votes were awesome. No bitterness, pretty much in awe of the audacity to pull off those moves. Season started a bit slow for me but has really picked up.
i really hate all these dumb questions about integrity and shit. of course they've fucking lied to you at some point.
I thought Mike adapted his game pretty well. He started out as one of his those “I’m never going to tell a lie” dudes who was super emotional when crossed. He gradually shifted his game and ended up being somewhat strategic. Shame he couldn’t articulate that in the least.
People are really surprised by this? She played a good game. Mike also played a good game. MaryAnne killed it at tribal and that made the difference for me at least. I would have voted for her. In my opinion the only elite player this season was Omar.
She didn't do shit for the first 95% of the game. She was annoying as fuck and a challenge net zero/negative.
Maryanne is one of the more deserving winners in recent history. This was a great season. Apparently they’re keeping it at 26 days and no more live reunions. Don’t really care about the 26 days. You can’t really tell the difference as far as game play. But no live reunions sucks. It’s cool to see the contestants and their families. Talk about random stuff that happened after the players had time to digest it ect. All to save money. Lame.
My thoughts on Maryanne. Her game play the first half of the game was PUTRID. Both from a social aspect and a watchability aspect. She's really annoying, but I guess when you are around her, she could be annoying in an endearing way. Now as the game went on, she clearly flipped a switch and started playing. She knows EVERYTHING about survivor. Even the name of the final challenge game. I will give her the credit for playing possum, because NOBODY saw her as a threat early. She sucks at comps, didn't have much of a social game, and didn't do much around camp to gain favor. HOWEVER, when she flipped the switch, she was key in knocking out Drea, Omar, and then Lindsay. She orchestrated the plan to knock off Drea, then made Omar and Lindsay feel safe while letting them die off. Romeo honestly fucked up by taking her to the final. He should have made her create fire knowing that John's only argument was that he carried tribes during the physical challenges and Mike's game while effective was sloppy. Final thoughts, was Maryanne the best player this season? No shot. Probably like 4th or 5th best. But in survivor the best player very rarely wins or even makes the final 3. The final 3 almost always comes down to two solid players and a goat. This year we got two good but not great players in Mike and Maryanne and Romeo as the goat. so either way with mike or maryanne we got a worthy winner.
They gave her the same type of bottom-tier, loser for 85% of the season then flip the switch to win edit as Erika in 41.
That's my favorite part of the changes. Right after the vote, you'll always get the straight scoop and most raw emotion The reunions were full of contestants with their comments rehearsed and much less than real
It did. If Jonathan wins, he takes Romeo and lets Mike dust MaryAnn in fire challenge. Then Mike wins the money.
So my wife and I have been going back and watching older seasons from before we started watching, and it’s fuckin infuriating when people quit 3 weeks into playing.
