need a pair of bluetooth earphones that wrap around the head for the gym. anyone got any recommendations? can't be the bud type. I have weird shaped ears and they wont stay in. looking at these for now http://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-Headphones-Phaiser-Earphones-Sweatproof/dp/B0159A1PO0/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&qid=1452798379&sr=8-12&keywords=bluetooth headphones
I bought these for $15 and haven't needed them. PM if you're interested. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ZF815LK?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00
So the new iPhone supposedly won't have a 3.5 connector. They are planning on going HD audio using the Lightning connector or Bluetooth.
I read Sennheiser might make a 3.5 to lighting cord if that happens. I hope so or is keep my 6s plus for a while. It would suck if true
I don't know how lightning works or what is required, but I hope that if possible the adapter is just a little cord extension.
In a few years wireless technology will be equal to using a cord and we'll look back and laugh at how ridiculous it was to be plugged in.
Do not see the audiophile community going this direction, headphones or otherwise. Maybe for source material but I doubt it and certainly not amplification.
It will at some point. Technology will advance just like how we went from the record>8 track>tape>CD>mp3. Just a matter of time and V-moda CFW is a big step in that direction because they don't recompress the digital file during playback and has made it nearly indistinguishable to most listeners between corded and wireless. We're essentially already there except for the traditionalists and extreme audiophiles.
For the mainstream consumers maybe, but in the high-end audio arena you still have lots of guys who never gave up their analog rigs not to mention thre amplification issue. The technology is already there but those guys aren't early adopters.
I imagine they could eventually make class d chips small enough to do that but again that stuff will end up in best buy not high-end audio shops.
Until battery tech catches up and can provide clean clear strong power without being obtrusive to the wearer wireless is a bit of a novelty. Bluetooth has covered signal conveyance, and that will only improve, but power is really tricky. Same problem people who buy "wireless" satellite speakers for their home have. Those things still need power to make the sound being sent to them, lots don't realize that.
I'll wait for replacement cables come out. There are some headphones that use that technology already. They are like 800. Hopefully the wires come out and aren't too expensive. Like I said I'll hold on to my 6s plus for a couple years if I have to.
The Fostex headphones are back on massdrop. I highly recommend if you have $400 to burn. https://www.massdrop.com/buy/fostex...otional 2016-01-26&utm_term=Daily Promotional
Trying out the KZ line of sub 50 headphones. Have the ATE and ED9 ED9 has a deep sub bass that is enjoyable, but if you like fast paced bass filled songs, they can be overwhelming. Clarity is good. Good highs. Great cord with little feedback. Housing is a bit heavy. The tuning nozzles make a bit of a difference between balanced and bass. I like it a lot for what it is. Haven't tried the ATE yet.
I love them. Great bass. I haven't really optimized them yet to an amp, as my selection is pretty shitty. I would suggest reading the discussion thread on the drop. Lots of info in there. Enjoy, you will love them.

looking for some bluetooth headphones. I have never owned a pair of headphones in my life. They would primarily be used to wirelessly listen to my TV late at night.
I have these for that exact purpose. http://www.amazon.com/MEE-audio-Blu...&qid=1458231785&sr=1-6&keywords=meelectronics
x2. Great set of headphones for the money. Battery lasts forever and sound quality is pretty decent. Daniel Ocean what do you use to transmit the bluetooth? I bought one with a red/white audio input and the signal strength sucks. It starts skipping unless I'm within 5 feet of the tv.
HELP! I started looking online at headphones and quickly realized I have no idea what I'm doing and there are approx. 46,057 choices. I'd appreciate any/all recommendations my fellow audiophile T-MB brethren would like to give me. Here's what I'm looking for... -On ear headphones (personally not a fan of the giant over the ear look for my use and fuck the uncomfortable in ear one's) -Not wireless -Preferably in the $60-$100 range -I'd spend more but I am not a heavy headphone user. I just want something decent to use when traveling/flying and other occasional instances. -I'll be using them with my phone which is an Android (LG G4). I use Spotify not that, that would matter. -Probably seems minor but I'd prefer they come with a case. As I said, I won't be using them a ton so keeping them in a case when not in use would probably be best. Anything else I'm missing? tia
I tell everyone to get audio technica ath-m50 even if you don't like over the ear. I've had mine for 7 years now I think and are the best. They miss on a few of your points but the sound quality is ridiculous.
Nevermind. I did a little searching and research while I was eating lunch. Ended up ordering these: http://www.amazon.com/Beyerdynamic-...m Headphone&qid=1458670524&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1 Of everything I read, no reviews had any complaints about the sound quality or anything like that. It seemed like this company was fairly well respected amongst the audio industry?
I think you missed this part of my post... I'd rather "waste" $60 on something I actually use a couple times a month than double that on what you posted when I wouldn't wear them anyway because they're enormous. In any case, as I posted, I already ordered so I'm good to go.
Hi. I'd like a Bluetooth headset that I can use for running, preferably with the ability to change songs. Noise cancelling a plus I don't like those fabric over the ear ones $50 or less preferably K thx
do you use custom tips on these or the ones that came with it? Thinking of buying these since my klipsch S4's crapped out and thinking of getting some foam tips for them.
zero audio carbo tenore http://www.amazon.com/AUDIO-ear-ste...srs=13105660011&ie=UTF8&qid=1465074238&sr=8-1 its $33 but free shipping
been using some bluetooth headphones from this thread that I got 2 years ago. like them (only like $20) but they aren't loud enough and they have some of the curly hard plastic connecting the two buds that is okay because it wraps around the ears (I can't wear just buds because they fall out idk i have loose ear holes bc i'm a whore) and said plastic piece won't let me wear hats. i like wearing hats in the gym. Spoiler: current headphones these were the highest rated ones on amazon. anyone have any positive/negative reviews for them? i trust TMB reviews more than the daily consumer on those sites. I really just need bluetooth, microphone, no hard piece that blocks my headwear, and I don't want that pair a shitload of people have that has the piece sitting on your neck. https://www.amazon.com/SHARKK-Bluet...s&refinements=p_85:2470955011,p_72:2661618011 https://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-He...s&refinements=p_85:2470955011,p_72:2661618011 https://www.amazon.com/SoundPal-ST1...s&refinements=p_85:2470955011,p_72:2661618011 https://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-He...s&refinements=p_85:2470955011,p_72:2661618011 https://www.amazon.com/Headphones-L...s&refinements=p_85:2470955011,p_72:2661618011 https://www.amazon.com/Charm-Blueto...s&refinements=p_85:2470955011,p_72:2661618011 https://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-He...s&refinements=p_85:2470955011,p_72:2661618011 https://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-He...s&refinements=p_85:2470955011,p_72:2661618011
