Really enjoyed it.
Finished channel zero series. Well almost. Skilled season 3 for now. Not bad.. 2 and 4 are worth a watch, but a little cheesy at times. 1, was pretty well done and good creepy vibes.
I would day 1 is good
4 is pretty good
2 is ok, but enjoyable enough
Also looking for some recommendations. Anyone want to name a few of their favorite horror movies that most people wouldn’t have seen?
Go back and find the last few the Weimar Beer Belly posts ITT
Summer of 84 is on Shudder
You're Next is on Hulu and prime. It's just a fun movie
Dive thru is on Prime and is a hilarious slice of awful 2000's horror. I love it.
bringing this up because I just watched “Next of Kin” and it’s actually pretty fucking good. Also PA 3 is really good too
Worst horror franchise?
Part 1 and 2 are fantastic. 2 is bat shit insanity
Watched the night house, last night. Not too bad.
New Netflix Texas Chainsaw Massacre fucking sucks.
So, it’s a Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie?
I like the Jessica Biel and Alexandra Daddario ones
I read this as Daddario was in the Biel one and it broke my brain for a second.
The new Chainsaw flick is very similar to Halloween Kills. Movie isn’t good but the kills are gory and great.
She was. Talk about a glow up.
I found it wayyyyyy worse than Halloween Kills
This is all I need to hear. I’ll get baked and enjoy it for what it is.
The kid from The Ring
Guess it’s about expectations. Had higher hopes for The Shape and a sequel to a decent refresher film. All I wanted from TCM 2022 were dope murder death kills and I got that.
I've heard it's quite the shitty movie
Which is a shame because I so want there to be another good TCM film.
im in the minority because I didn’t hate it. It was what I expected. Mindless entertainment while having a couple drinks.
TCM was perfect for what I wanted it to be, something that I leave on in the other room so when I'm working in the kitchen I can pop my head out and see someone get chainsawed.
Watching now. That bus scene sure was something.
If you get the opportunity, you should pop a mushroom and watch The Spine of Night on Shudder.
It stars Lucy Lawless, and t e c h n i c a l l y she has her huge tits out for the entirety of the movie
do you mean “technically” because it’s a cartoon? Lol
this guy gets it
It's an exquisite film regardless
Anyone seen X yet?
No but I need to do that. Early reviews have been really good from what I've seen. Is it only in theaters?
Really enjoyed X. Happy to see Ti West back making movies, he's one of my favorite horror directors
Yes, and it is really good.
I finally watched The Sacrament yesterday and I really enjoyed it, I've got a fascination with cults/Jonestown so it itched that but I thought it was really well done as well.
I know this is the movie thread, but I randomly decided to watch Ep1 of Chucky and it’s actually pretty good.
Yea. It’s aight. Not quite worth a trip to the theater though.
Been back in shitty movie mode, I watched Aquaslash this weekend, it's utterly awful but kind of fun. I said WTF to myself multiple times.
Still need to watch Vast of Night but the RLM guys did a review on Aquaslash.
Some of y'all may enjoy this when it comes out
Saw this post was made like 10 days ago but the Vast of Night is excellent
I love docs about horror so this excites me. Shudder is so great.
Anyone watch X yet? Good reviews and trailer looks good
I dropped the $20 to rent it on Vudu, it's really good. I was a bit too high and missed some of the themes on watch 1. I need to run it back.
It is very dark (visually) so watch it in a dark room or at night.
Watched Last Night in Soho last night. I feel like there is a really fun movie in there somewhere.
Taking my son to see the 40th anniversary rerelease of John Carpenter’s The Thing on Father’s Day. Here’s the link if anyone else is interested.
