So anyways, the smart fungus that has infiltrated the Jackson community pipelines, was that what was coordinating the infected attack? I also don't remember the infected being WWZ level fast
Where did they all come from? I saw the ground when it first started but were they all just chilling in the early and just woke up.
They had mentioned that they found infected that had buried themselves under dead ones in the snow; basically to insulate themselves or something. I assume that’s what was going on there.
with the hive mind mentality they seem to be working with, it makes sense they would work together to survive the cold.
Not exactly coordinating but I think in season 1 it was explained how the fungus was basically a network. So by spreading into the pipes it gave the infected a map to an active city to feed on.
Someone has to say it. Spoiler: I liked that scene the first time I saw it when it was Glen getting beaten to death in the walking dead
Dina reminds me of an on/off gf from college that I just couldn't quit in that she's a massive tease. No wonder I'm in love with her.
I swear if they don’t pay that off with someone in Jackson randomly eating corn in the season finale….
What I really love about this show is that they add context around the game and just adds more depth to the overall story and world. It all feels worth it. As a fan of the game I love it because it’s showing me things that are new and not just going game shot for shot. like showing the town debate about resources and Ellie saying fuck it. The therapist I think is a really cool new character to the story too.
You mean when she told Joel she had a vendetta against him for killing her husband made you think that?
Thought this was a really good episode to come back with after the emotion of the last week. For anyone that watched the "making of episode" at the end, I thought Niell Druckmans comments were pretty cool and interesting in comparing the game to the TV show. How, in the video game its action based so there is no time to show/feel the grieving process. The TV show allows more time for that and this episode gave them that opportunity. Cool contrast between the different media types and how the TV show allows for more room to breath in these non-action moments. Still not sure how I feel about O'Hara's character. She definitely seems to have some form of suspicions about Joel/Ellie and I am curious where they take that. Spoiler: Video Game Comments The change in how they decide to go to Seattle is interesting. Tommy's anger was the main motivation to get them to Seattle (along with Ellie's), so him not being the primary person to push them to go changes how the trip goes. In the game he is far more driven by anger than he is in the show, at least to this point. Will be curious how they balance that in the show since I feel like it was such a large part of his character in the second game
Spoiler He is an absolute rage filled demon in the game.. I find it hard to connect how he gets to that point in the show. I also feel like that was such a huge part of his character in two, especially as it relates to him convincing Ellie to go back to Seattle a second time
Low key one of my favorite parts of ep 3 was dickhead Seth yelling "Grow up, you idiots!" to an entire town.
I was out of town so I just caught up on the last two episodes. Freaking loved them. Trusty I love ya man but if they did the show how you seem to want it, it would be about 5 episodes and this season would be the end of it. I’m a hardcore stan of the games and I thought the attack on Jackson was great.
He went back to get what he thought was help defending Jackson. She told them they had guns and ammo and could fight.
Gamers can fuck off but gonna be so sad when Dina dies hope this show can give me a few happy moments

I think one thing we can agree on is to thank hbo for getting them to Seattle in the span of about 20minutes of show time
"Going on a 1500 mile revenge road trip instead of just asking a girl out" is such a lesbian stereotype.
