I don't think the show has changed at all. It's just acquired more moving parts than the bare bones "dude and girl trek across the country and run into trouble along the way." The world in the show has expanded. They dipped their toes into it with Boston/KC last season. They're expanding on that city's existence with more cities.
My issue with Abby is the casting choice. You’re discounting or ignoring the physical appearance and its importance to illustrate her motivations and that’s fine. There are also things in the future that will either be ignored by the show or be extremely unbelievable to me. As for Ellie it’s the writing in the last episode that I have an issue with not the casting. Game Ellie would have never said “I’m gonna be a dad “ in that situation.
I was merely answering his post about the “take on me” scene. The game comes off as darker. Just an observation that doesn’t mean I am not enjoying the show.
best example I can come up with is having Tom Cruise play Jack Reacher. If you’re a fan of the source material it’s something you have to get past. KD is a great actor so I don’t think she will do a bad job I just wish they’d have done a better job casting someone who looks like game Abby.
Not ignoring it, but recognizing in this way of telling the story it isn’t necessary. In the game her strength also functions as a gameplay mechanic. You don’t need that for the show and I don’t think the story has suffered at all. Neil made a similar reference around other parts of the show that they didn’t mind changing because they no longer needed something to be “so” for the purpose of playing a video game. I just view this as one of those things.
Should have known from people review bombing marvel stuff but video game adaptation purist are somehow much much worse than book adaptation people. Sheesh
Now that we're on the topic, the live action version of NCAA Football 25 was nothing like the game I played and I'm hoping season 2 is much better this fall
at you posting this bullshit when you got your panties in a bunch because I said the casting of Deb in Dexter: Original Sin was wrong after they cast a short, squatty girl to play tall and lanky Deb.
u can’t help being weird can you? But, I’ll type slow for you so maybe you’ll understand. IMO Deb’s physical appearance isn’t an integral part of the character. Whereas again IMO with Reacher and Abby their stature is an important aspect of the character.
huh? U don’t think I believe what I wrote? I believe the physical characteristics of some fictional characters is important but not for others. I purposefully wrote “imo” twice to make sure u understood what I was writing was my opinion. But, continue being you.
Is it possible she’s putting on an act in front of Dina and others? Hiding she’s really yelling inside and wants to kill everyone and we saw some of that psycho at the end there.
She chose to go to the hospital instead of finding/worrying about Dina, who had just been shot in the leg. I'd say her desire for revenge is very strong.
I do find it weird how they’re turning on lights and playing music all the while trying to sneak up on this city filled with enemies. A far cry from how Sam/Henry were handling things; though I guess not entirely the same either since all of Kansas City was looking for them at the time.
I didn’t want to put a spoiler in the post but Spoiler I meant more the way she killed Nora by inflicting as much pain as possible instead of killing her quickly. The anger in her was the first time this season that I believed that was Ellie and not a water down version.
it actually wasn’t but in the game it’s called a lift so while I understand that you’re trying to be sarcastic, ironically you made a valid point
