I'm only in season 2 of my binge and Moayed is practically a main character on the show at this point. Cromwell not so much he'd def qualify as a guest star at this point but I know it's 2 seasons ahead of where I am.
Guest actors aren’t limited to singular episodes or seasons. I would consider Cromwell a guest actor but not Arian tbh — supporting actor was probably too full so tossed his name in for guest. I think Offerman wins this one. He and Murray just had an exceptionally beautiful performance.
I understand the designation and it also has a lot to do with what they get paid. I am just saying when I think of those two they were somewhat regulars on the show, especially Arian, but Cromwell was on quite a bit. By comparison, Offerman and Murray were in one episode, so truly a guest. I agree. It's very hard to see Offerman not winning this.
They dominated the Creative Arts Emmys. Storm Reid also won for Episode 7. but Succession will roll in the regular Emmys still
I liked her in Last Man Standing and Booksmart, so excited to see her in this. Couple of months on the Big Money Studio Lifting Plan and I can see her doing it well.
I think the issue is they had a chance to hire an actress that actually represented Abby but went with another size 0 actress
couldn’t remember where I recognized that name from. voice of the main character in those Spirit cartoons my daughter used to be obsessed with.
replaying the games and just finished up with Bill. had forgotten just how awesome Bill and Ellie non-stop shit talking one another was in the game.
Been binging this the past few days, just finished episode 6. Commune in Jackson Hole is sick. Ellie is such a badass, and so funny. Favorite show character I can remember.
Spoiler: Major plot spoiler Spoiler: Seriously, don't open Spoiler: Pokémon Doesn't Joel die early in the 2nd game? Wonder if they stretch it out for the show.
Spoiler: Responding to major spoiler Spoiler: Seriously I heard the second game was being stretched into 2 seasons and the theory is that “the moment” could come later. But I have a prediction it happens in 2.1 to shock people.
I loved the second game. Great strorytelling for a video game but terrible storytelling for a tv show. I wouldn’t be mad at all if they took a lot of liberties
Spoiler: Major spoiler the Abby Ellie fight in the theatre is a very obvious place to break up the story in to two seasons. Some good writing can manage those two story lines simultaneously, or they could tell just Ellie’s side in season 2 and Abby’s side in season 3. I’m sure Ellie’s actress got a two year contract though, not one plus a small role in season 3.
Spoiler I think season 2 ends with the theatre fight. Season 3 could be the other point of view or maybe when they go to California? Or could they flesh that all out for season 4?
I just figured it would be two seasons like the two parts of the video games. I just started playing Part 1 and was getting me excited for the show, but not if it is going to drag out for another five years.
