Hacks? That's one of the few that has survived, but there were better ones that got cancelled the last few years.
I enjoyed it. Not familiar enough with the game to know what type of infected those smarter ones are. Runners, stalkers, clickers and the big ass thing we saw in season one are all I really know. *I guess they did mention that it was “stalking.” For some reason I was thinking we had seen those in season one but maybe not.
Really good episode. The preview for the season looks nuts. There’s a shit to get through and a lot of ground to cover. Very excited. Side note… I have confidence Kaitlyn Devers can carry the show when it’s her time. However, I have mild concerns that Bella Ramsey will not be able to carry things when she’s the main.
TLOU2 Remastered version just came out on Steam a week ago. I’m doing a new playthrough when I get home from work trip in a few days
For the most part the first episode followed the video game pretty closely. However, there are 4 major differences… Spoiler: Spoilers In the game, it opens with a conversation between Tommy and Joel discussing what happened at the hospital. Maybe we get this with a flashback? In the game, we don’t get introduced to Abby’s motivation until much later, making her more of a mystery. Here, we obviously understand right away what is motivating her. Probably a necessary change for the show. The infected roots are a show invention, so those are obviously not in the game. Finally, Joel seeing a therapist is a new addition by the show. Not totally sure how I feel about this as it seems like a departure from his character. But I’m open to it in the show and curious to see what they do with it.
Did you watch the post show? Spoiler basically, they say why shouldn’t there be a therapist, with all the shit these people go though. I like it.
Spoiler: Spoiler Yea I saw that too, and the logic makes sense. And honestly, I think it’s an interesting dynamic to add as so few “zombie” shows dig into the mental toll it would take. My comment is mainly directed towards Joel the character. I don’t know that his character strikes me as the type that would try it. Granted, his sessions seem to be a bit superficial in nature, so that part would track for his character
Just want to say Joel’s reaction to the dyke comment is spot on and should be practiced by far more people.
Battle of the bastards esque intensity. Not sure I like the change with Joel compared to the game unless they flashback Ellie’s confrontation. But perfectly executed otherwise.
I never got the chance to beat the second game but knew what was coming tonight and it still fucking hit really hard
This thread spoiled that for me but it was still intense. Kinda figured he’d find a way to wiggle out of it but nooooope.
