I finished it out a few days ago; I wish it'd been a bit broader scoped. They kinda focus on one or two species from each alien planet and I think they should have done a bigger picture of the ecosystem as a whole vs just a few critters. Graphics are pretty good and its an interesting watch though
Being Hispanic my wife has always loved Selena, and always loved JLO's portrayal of her Leading up to yesterday she was so excited about the new series Then before we hit play on it last night she informed me that she has "heard" (saw on Facebook) that the actress is too skinny to look like Selena I couldn't make it 15 minutes into the show with all the complaints Could be a really good series, I will never know CC: stupid shit wife does thread
my wife and daughter are watching it too. They also have a bunch of complaints so it might be the show and not your wife. I walked in while they were watching it and thought they were using a flashback to the movie. The actress they used looks more like Lopez than Selena. I have no interest in the show so that’s my two cents .
Anyone else watch Brews Brothers? Very stupid but has some laughs if you know about hipsters and beer
I watched a lot of it one day but don’t think I finished. Very dumb, but yea they’d hit you with a good laugh every now and then
If you want to watch a bunch of douchebags in their most wild environment, check out the documentary titled Liberated: The New Sexual Revolution. Just a dumb fucking doc. I made it 30 mins in before I had to turn it off. I can't imagine going any longer.
Set in the future, Harp (Damson Idris), a drone pilot, is sent into a deadly militarized zone where he finds himself working for Leo (Anthony Mackie), an android officer, tasked to locate a doomsday device before the insurgents do
Do you guys watch foreign stuff with dubs or subtitles? I’ve watched two eps of Alice in borderland and tried both and don’t know which I preferred
Subtitles always. It's very difficult to do dubbing such that you don't notice it and I find noticing it extremely distracting.
I used to be subtitles only but I’ve found if I only use subtitles that I’m constantly having to pause what I’m watching because I’m fucking around on my phone, and so it takes forever to watch anything just on subs.
I much prefer subs, but it really depends on how much i like the show/pay attention. Narcos is all subs for me because I love the show. Recently watched Carmel and shouldve probably dubbed it because it didnt hold my attention.
Intrigued by this docuseries "The Ripper" that just came out today. Think I'm gonna start it here soon.
Binged all of this last night. Great show. Would love to see another season. Chili episode was actually my fav...not sure what Beo is talking about. I'd rank them: Chili Eating Cheese Rolling Yo-Yo Frog Jumping Dog Dancing Fantasy Hairstyling
Frog jumping better than the yo yo one and I'd also put the cheese rolling as 1 and the chili one as 2.
Chili one was in SC so that might have biased me a little, but I loved the competitors on that one. The woman who came in second was one of the mentally toughest people I've seen. Cheese rolling was definitely great too; loved their champion girl also. Frog jumping -- it's awesome that the contest came from the Mark Twain story and not the other way around
That cheese rolling thing really is a young persons game. The thought of not giving a shit and running down that hill now that I'm in my mid 30's is fucking terrifying. When I was 16 thinking about my mindset and how I felt then, I could envision myself doing it.
I'd like to stand on top of it myself to see how steep it really is. They did a pretty good job when they first showed it -- they had the camera at an angle making it look almost flat, then pulled back further and further so you could start seeing how steep the drop off was. I bet when you get up there it looks a lot higher/steeper. I was surprised the chick who had won 3x was still so scared, although the broken collarbone was probably haunting her
On chili episode, I liked the very beginning where they show how they test the hotness of the peppers. I've heard of Scoville units but it was helpful to see how they do it
Just for one day can I get a break from the trans Australian South Carolina chili eating contestant agenda?
I think there might be something actually wrong with the chili winner guy. He ate everything without crying or sweating a drop
It's definitely hard to tell how steep it really is until they show the shots of people going down it. When they do that you can see how much ground they cover with each stride plus when they fall they legitimately can't stop themselves. The ladder means that shit is crazy steep.
Ava is a really bad movie. Complete waste of time. I still like Jessica Chastain but just a bit less now that I watched that movie.
