I just remember feeling really deceived the first time I heard their sound with a name like Destroyer
Sacred Bones is pretty awesome. Got led to the band below, Uniform, after listening to Blanck Mass and Black Marble on YouTube for a bit. So many acts on that label I should dig into I like the idea of telling people I'm into industrial punk Uniform - Awakening Spoiler
I think it's impossible to overstate how much the first 3 Real Estate albums have positively impacted my life. They calm me down, dial me in, relieve stress, etc and are just downright enjoyable
these guys had an ep/mini album thing last year that I enjoyed some, but have really liked more lately for whatever reason. anyway, they have a new album coming out soon
The only album I had heard until now was the 2011 one. It was highly rated by critics, but I considered it okay at the time, and haven't listened since, but the 2020 one is pretty awesome. Great chill vibe. I am going back in his catalog now.
The Spark on the new DIIV album is so gorgeous. That album has such a drastically different sound from Oshin but it's still a classic. That's a sign of a great band
That album remind me so much of young Smashing Pumpkins. Obviously more a mellower climax but still the heavy hits are nice.
every loung, single thing in tmb for years including now I have access to . and I always have when you think I am not there I watch you nutskull shit and wonder ?
I come to profess my love and adoration for IDLES. I apologize for not giving them more time. Just an absolutely mind blowing band for me, has it all. I get it’s not everyone’s cup of Joe, but it’s why I love this thread.
I share the exact same love and adoration. That style of music is normally not my cup of tea, but I saw their KEXP show a some months ago and their energy was just palpable. Then I went back and listened to their back catalog and I am a huge fan.
Did not like the first single off the upcoming Caroline Rose record, but this one is much better. Caroline Rose - Freak Like Me Spoiler
new Hot Snakes joint (do we call songs joints anymore?) Their Bandcamp says it's the second of 4 singles released every season leading up to the new LP, so I guess that means it'll be out late in the year? I Shall Be Free
new Tame Impala officially on streaming services now I guess. Haven't been able to DL anything on RED since the week before Xmas so will check this out on Spotify, which I am enjoying and glad to be utilizing
It's taken a week or two sometimes, but everything eventually downloads for me still Not really helpful for immediate listening though
The Ballroom Thieves have a lovely album. I don't really have a single song, just listen to it (Unlovely).
God this new Tame is so good. I think Instant Destiny is my early fav, but that's a really tough choice.
Andy Shauf has been my fav so far. It's a little more singer-songwritery though, which iirc isn't as much your thing.
You’re correct. I’m hypocritical about it though bc once in a while I find something from that style/genre I love
