Man I'm stoked for this album. Been listening to him a ton lately Edit but this single isn't as good as the first two. Kinda a screamer type song which was weird
I think its a stream rip from somewhere, probably why it is not on torrance Spoiler: link https://kingdom-leaks.com/index.php...re-x-pure-x-2020/&tab=comments#comment-224450
I really enjoy following Daniel Markham. I never know what's going to pop out of the speakers. I wrote and recorded some new songs in a storage shed. My friends Hank Early and Gabriel Pearson of Turnpike Troubadours/RP50PR recorded steel and drums respectively. My friend Kyle Harris of The Diamond Center recorded bass/12-string. Check it out!
A friend of mine is on guitar. I haven't talked with him lately so there's no telling what these songs sound like or are about. There's no telling with Eric, Red Mouth. https://leestavall.com/products/shut-in-redmouth As most of you know, I ain’t really retired anymore. That being the case there were many plans en route to completion when #TheApocalypse struck. And, given that my ‘day’ gig is legally titled #bartender I’m completely out of work and have yet to even hear a peep from unemployment. I will make it no doubt. I’m not whining. Simply setting up the story as to what this is. If you are in a position to afford it, I am taking part in this wonderful opportunity to keep working and make records. Follow the link in the bio to order your #OneOfAKind #RedMouth #record. A 45. The ‘band’ is recording backing tracks at their homes and I will over dub a unique performance for EACH order tailored with a personal thank you. You will own a one of a kind, personalized record. Also, there are two song choices, both are brand new. Never heard outside the inner circle of the band. And won’t even be on the next record. A years early sneak peek. Choose one, or order both. And, rest well knowing you also bought groceries for the record cutters, the band, and my household. LINK IN BIO! Cheers and stay sanitized - Red
Taylor Hollingsworth He wrote the song "Dominos", the last track on the Better Oblivion Community Center album.
Pitchfork loves tons of stuff that I really don't enjoy at all. And they seem to not like (or even acknowledge) a fair amount of stuff I love. It's why they're just a secondary resource at this point
P4k is only useful to me as a news source. They lost me as soon as they kept trying to tell me Death Grips and Deafheaven were things I should be listening to
one of my crowning achievements in life is telling ian cohen that he sucked when we met at CMJ one year
I don’t really care what Pitchfork rated it, I just didn’t enjoy it. I listen to NPR’s All Songs Considered new songs show on Fridays and they were gushing all over it too.
yeah I thought we were just having a good old fashioned pitchfork hate session unrelated to their FA rating, haven't even listened to the album myself yet
There was a stretch there a couple years back when I still browsed Pitchfork where pretty consistently, I loved the albums they hated and vice versa. As for Fiona, I’ve listened twice and I dug it, but it’s also not better than the new Waxahatchee for me.
we were at a symposium during CMJ in like 2012 maybe? I was talking to jenny eliscu with some others and he interrupted us to be the patented cunty Ian that we all hate. he finally introduced himself as “ian cohen from pitchfork” and I was just like “man you suck” and left the area
musically it’s not the most straightforward so i can understand not being into it after the first listen and setting it to the side but man the songwriting is just next level.
douche chill (him not you) had i friend that used to introduce ppl as “hey this is my drummer, x” but we’d be at like a tailgate or something. similar vibes
the more I listen to them, the more I get excited about the self titled debut from Country Westerns on May 1st. They're drummer was in Silver Jews. They rock not quite as pumped as I am for Protomartyr and Car Seat Headrest. But very intrigued
do you guys like land of talk? one of my favorite saddle creek acts. here’s a new track and then my favorite track of theirs
yeah it did. But I really liked Can't Cool Me Down, another of the singles. And he's been so consistently good through his career I expect this album to be solid
