Pittsburghs airport is garbage so this makes sense, luckily they’re in the middle of a $1.57 Billion dollar renovation. No more underground train just to get to a terminal
it rules how we all got super jealous of airports in other countries 15-20 years ago and now every city is spending 5 billion on a new one
Feel like people who don't have it as their home airport hate it b/c they might have to change terminals
Customer satisfaction can also differ greatly if you only fly a specific airline. In San Diego, if you only fly SWA, then you’re in a terminal built in 1967. American? 1979. United/delta/international? 2013. There’s a $3.6B project ongoing to replace the older one.
to be fair that’s also because SWA is cheap and flies into the shittiest part of every airport or in some cases their own special shitty airport
CLT is my home airport and always surprised it ends up so low. I like it. Maybe flying through is worse? DFW is one I go to that I hate. Way too long instead of a hub and spoke. Did a lot of travel into Indy this spring and agree that it's pretty great for a smaller one.
Minneapolis exactly where it should be, easily the best airport in the US. Orange County is awesome too in regards to functionality but its food options are severely lacking. Salt Lake City is the most underrated airport. It’s everything I expected Denver to be but Denver isn’t.
Tampa’s is awesome. and it has improved w more international routes. with the traffic it deals with I think Atlanta does fine
The area you picked is considered to be the Dolomites and you should go with that. Adige Valley to the Piave Valley. The Milan/Bergamo area mountains are referenced as “alps” rather than Dolomites. Make sure she gets to see Lago di Sorapis and Alpe di Siusi (meadow).
I agree with comments about ATL. Very efficient. Sure change terminals but it’s an escalator. Train. Back up. I think it’s idiots that get confused and lost.
I think ATL gets docked points because it's just not that nice compared to some of the more recently updated airports. Efficient yes, but pretty mid otherwise. It's fine.
Newark was somewhat like this, terminal c is all United and actually somewhat nice. Every other airline was terminal a or b and those were absolute dumps (new terminal A is actually kind of nice but a bit slow to get through the lines)
So it's more on American than CLT? Anyway, they've been doing renovations for years with still a number of years to go. Hope it makes for a better experience.
if anyone has Vienna / Austria questions about their future trip, tag or DM me. I loved Austria. trip was a blast. Thanks for all help / tips everyone.
brother invited wife and I on an Alaskan cruise. I saw Lyrtch and Lawnole23 comment on them. Do people generally enjoy them? Obviously I am not normally a cruise person but this is different.
Went on one in like 2018 with a bunch of family on celebrity was fun Think Virgin is doing them so that would be my pick now if you were all adults
since the company and other details will matter, I will share when I get them to see if there are any alarm bells or blinking red lights.
I’m not a cruise person. I thought it was a good way to do it. Alaska’s hard to get around so you get a hit a bunch of spots. We did Norwegian and stayed in the Haven class. I think it was completely worth the extra money. It has its own nice restaurant, which only Haven passengers have access to. Best food on the boat. Has its own private pool, its own viewing area at the front of the ship with hot tubs that everyone else does not have access to. The first day out was pretty rough though. Lotta people I was with were seasick. I did not feel great but was OK. It was perfectly fine after that.
This lady run a company that caters to the "lifestyle" of $100M+ net worth clients. Services starting at $75K a year. Pretty interesting and ridiculous insight into some of that world. Wish I had the money to rent one of these yahts for a week, she makes it sound dope as hell but at $200K a week, I feel confident I won't ever enjoy that.
have a relative who does this, its obscene shit and because it's her job she gets wined and dined at the highest levels trying to get her to book people at the nicest hotels/restaurants/etc, flown all over private, etc.
Wife and her sister landed in London this morning, within a few hours guys on mopeds jumped off, stole the phones out of their hands, and drove off. Luckily they are dumb and didn't take purses or anything so just a major annoyance today and not a trip ruining thing of getting passports and shit at the embassy.
Damn, that sucks. I depend on my phone for nearly everything while traveling, I cannot imagine the frustration that would cause.
I always hear about this phenomenon but I go down to London every few months and I’ve never seen this, let alone experienced it. Where were they?
My wife said “oh yeah Spitalfields Market that would make sense”. Well off area close to tourist traps.
I was just there last week for work. Hawker centres are a dream, minus their strange aversion to free napkins.
Jealous. Eating at some of their Michelin starred hawker stands is a food bucket list for me: https://www.foodandwine.com/travel/singapore-hawker-stands-michelin-stars-where
Three weeks until I head to San Sebastian. Got a lot of pintxo spots picked out. Welcome any and all recs.
Have a Bachelor party in Dallas during the Oklahoma Texas football game. We currently plan on tailgating and then going to a bar to watch the game. Leaning toward getting a table for the game and are looking at either BottledBlonde or Happiest Hour. Thoughts on either or is there another place we should go? Our group does not have much Dallas experience so any and all feedback Is appreciated.
Happiest Hour is where fsu held a booster event on Friday night before getting blasted. The TVs were playing constant loops of fsu highlights. None of which included anything from this season. Place is massive with plenty of TVs.
