We don't do many (any?) read options. If Jalen is running it's a scramble (which he's generally reluctant on) or it's a QB power out of thr shotgun.
me watching iron bowl: these guys such we are going to smoke them. Me watching us play tech: we suck, bama going to smoke us.
Hypothetical: Michigan wins Washington wins Texas loses FSU loses Bama beats UGA by 1 in all time classic right at the end. do both teams get in?
If it were to happen like that, I could see it. You’d have Oregon and Texas with two losses. A QB-less FSU with one loss. Only other possible would be OSU instead of UGA.
Oh FSU, Oregon and Texas are 100% out in that scenario. To me it would be Michigan, Wash, Alabama in, then toss up between OSU and UGA, in which I think UGA probably takes it
Not a great record but two of those teams won national titles and the other two lost in the national title game.
Bama has been in 10 of the last 16. Bama has won 8 of the 9 they've played in so far, the only loss being the first in 2008. I didn't realize we'd won that many in a row in Atlanta.
Oh yea, wasn't throwing shade over it. Yall have won so many games in a row I forgot yall can actually lose games.
UGA has made 3 ncg right? 2nd and 26 Beat Bama after we won seccg and lost both wr Murdered TCU Am I missing one?
2-4 SECC record would go back to 2012 (unless youre already counting Saturday as a Bama win). Bama 12 and LSU 19 champs and Bama 18 and 21 runner up.
My bad, thought you were referring to UGA teams, not the opponent. Yea yall didn't lose to bad teams or anything. SEC has had the top 2 teams in the country more often than not the last 10-15 years.
All I know is I never feel comfortable in Atlanta, even more so against Bama. Going to be a wreck even before 4pm on Saturday.
Feel like UGA/Bama are Federer and Nadal (or Djokovic, whoever you want), in that each would have several more championships 5 years from now if not for the other team. Heck UGA probably would've gotten 1-2 under Richt without Bama, like 2012 when they also would've killed Notre Dame
I thought we had a bet on one of the games but there's so many I can't remember which one. I could be wrong. My neighbor is from Athens so he brings me some every time he goes home so I'm straight.
Yep and you can even add the other two teams Georgia lost to in the SECC game (03 and 11 LSU) as teams that won or played for NC. For some reason I thought that was much cooler/unique fact on my initial reply but given state of SEC the last 20 years it's really not.
During this run, Bama has really had 3 main rivals in the SEC are various times. Started with Florida, then LSU, now UGA. It was easy to hate Florida with Meyer and LSU with Miles but I just don't have the same hate for UGA. Idk if it's bc I'm getting old or bc Kirby was our guy for so long but I respect UGA more than I hate UGA, if that makes sense.
Probably because our teams are more similar. Florida had a look at me coach and Tebow. LSU has been the luckiest team during their run. Somehow winning with coach O and les eating grass while going YOLO. Bama and UGA have built more sustainable programs promoting toughness and team.
I don’t hate UGA, and I honestly respect the hell out of them, but there’s no team I enjoy beating more which I’m sure is a similar feeling to y’all. Going to be a long ass week waiting for Saturday to get here.
Been some weird games during Kirby's tenure. 2017 NC - We played above our heads. Bama was the better team and the score was closer than the distance between the 2 teams 2018 SECG - see 2017 2021 SECCG - we were favored and got beaten pretty soundly Maybe that's not uncommon for 3 of 5 games to kind of go against expectations but I don't really know what to expect Saturday given that history
I've never hated Bama but just suffer Bama fatigue like so many other cfb fans. Probably because we didn't play much growing up. Plus I figured a fan base that hates Auburn, TN, and Florida is pretty okay. Also Saban is not hatable or fake like so many other great coaches of the past.
Yea if you like Kirby or Saban, idk how you can hate the other. They are the same guy with different accents.
